I stayed in a standard twin room, which originally had no shower room but only a toilet. However, the double room (one bed) has a shower room. Because the room was fully booked at the time, I booked two beds. Maybe the introduction on Trip.com was not correct. The picture of the hotel is clear or there is an error. I wanted to change rooms, but the hotel was full and could not change rooms. Haocai Hot Spring was very good. The portion of the dinner was small.

It takes more than ten or twenty minutes to take the hotel shuttle bus from JR Kameoka Station, so you need to make an appointment with the hotel in advance. The Japanese-style room is very comfortable, and breakfast and dinner are also great! There are hot springs. There is a shuttle bus to the Hozugawa Ferry Terminal, and you can also make an appointment for pick-up and drop-off from the Saga JR Station.

This ryokan always takes care of us at year-end parties. This time, my friend is going to be transferred to a distant place, so I visited her to have a farewell party. The room is a corner deluxe on the second floor. I requested a Western-style room, but I never expected to have such a room. I usually have dinner in a private room, but this time I am grateful that you prepared a spacious hall for a small number of people. Yunohana Onsen's evaluation in the local area, I think Suisen → Sumiya ≒ Shoenso → Keizankaku → Hoga is common, but I like Shoenso the best. It is not used for lodging, but is used as a ”lunch” and ”hot spring bathing” place for a set trip. It was also a corona misfortune, and the sightseeing bus was only one of us, and it was vacant. The hot spring public bath was simply said to be wide, and I felt it was clean, but this was also about ”normal”. Bath towels will not be lent unless you pay 400 yen, valuables lockers are so small that women cannot put them in their bags, and the security against the risk of theft is ”lowest” class. We left our shoes at the dining hall and bathed in the hot springs in slippers, so it was fine, but when we put on our shoes, the locker fee was 100 yen. It's not a translation, it's extremely sloppy, it's good because it's so empty, but if it's crowded, you can't tell who's slippers it is. Of course, if the cooking is not good with this, ✖ 5 will not get a single 0, but only the cooking was far ”better” than expected. However, they don't pay attention to the serving of food at all. They always serve food from the ”back seat”, so we who sit first are the last ones, and we are men who eat quickly. It's been a long time, the staff don't have the ability to respond flexibly to things like this, and I can't say that we have to send out all at once because there are about 30 people, but as a staff member, I have the ability to make arrangements and observe the surroundings and respond. Of course I have it. He was extremely insensitive when it came to asking for extra rice, and if he looked around, he would have been able to find out who had finished earlier. It's the same with ya, but only a few people drink, and even if you don't work hard to make money, you can put it off for later.Do you want to earn that much? My wife’s birthday trip at the Suiran was a dream come true. With successive Covid cancellations, it took us four years of planning, but it was worth the wait. With their traditional Japanese structures and landscaping, the Suiran was our oasis of calm during Kyoto’s busiest season (cherry blossoms). We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and the best breakfasts of our lives in their dining room, and blissful riverside happy hours in their cafe. Our comfortable room had all the amenities, and a soothing minimalist aesthetic. The Suiran staff is spectacular: thoughtful, gracious, attentive. Through our years of planning and days of enjoyment, we were guided by Suiran’s chief concierge, Hiromi Maruyama. Her kindness, patience, and expertise added greatly to the success of our time in Kyoto. Her suggestions and insights, and good spirits were a beacon shining our way. We are indebted to her for her efforts on our behalf.

+ Location, the neighborhood is beautiful to the side of the temples and bamboo forest and near the center, 12min in fast train and 17min in normal to the central station. · The hotel is a little old and needs renovation since it is seen that it was only a face wash and not a reform.

This hotel is really nice. #1 The check-in guy was very polite and helpful with excellent English. #2 The rooms are large and clean and fully furnished with fridge, microwave, tv and more. #3 The location is very good.* #4 Fast and faultless wi-fi. However, when you walk to your room the fronts of the rooms look very grey and boring, like a prison. Don't worry though because when you open the door you will be pleasantly surprised how bit and nice the rooms are. *The location is great, BUT it's important to know about the secret path alongside the hotel and canal. If you don't know about that, you will feel it's a long way to the big bridge, but when you know about it, it's great. From the Saga Arishiyama JR station it's a 20 minute walk, but from Hankyu Arashiyama station it's a 1 minute walk.

I and my mother stayed there for one night 20000 yen per person, with dinner and breakfast. It was a very comfortable stay. This was more like a hotel, except that we needed to walk around without your own shoes (without getting dirty feet) inside. It was fully booked on that day. We had an earlier check-in, which mean that we could enjoy our relaxing private Onsen bath without standing in line. We also tried the large onsen baths later in the evening after a long walk in the beautiful Arashiyama area nearby. It was hot, but great. One of the baths was outside in a Japanese garden. We got warmed up from the inside out, and had an ice popsicle before we went up to our room for good nights rest. We also enjoyed a huge dinner and breakfast, true local cuisine with typical taste in Kyoto that supposed to be refined and ”delicate” - you shouldn´t expect any strong taste, and correctly cooked. This supposed to be a 3-star-hotel, but the amenity was completed. We didn´t miss anything here. We thought the staff at the front desk were not amazing, but definitely not poor. We didn´t need to deal with them so much as we had good information in written form. Everything was clean and pleasant. Had absolutely nothing to complain. We would definitely love to come back again. My rating is 4 - not more or less. I certainly see that they still have a room for improvement, but overall I didn´t personally understand all the poor reviews.
