Short stay in the winter
Travelled off season, it was a short stay but the hotel staff were very welcoming and left us to our devices. A very quiet time and stay. Would come back.

Lots of steps, quirky and very good
Quirky hotel. Good service very clean, does not offer dinner but very good restaurants are nearby. Lots of uneven steps so not suitable for everyone. Enjoyed our stay

The place has good value and is situated on a nice location. Rooms and bathroom are in need of an update though. Breakfast was excellent. The traditional feel on the coast makes it a nice place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the lovely, historic Agulhas Lodge. The accommodation was very good and the lighthouse & shoreline nearby were well worth visiting. I would suggest planning more than a one-night stay, however, as it is a long drive from the Garden Route / N-2 highway. We arrived at 7 pm and were extremely surprised to find out that the desk attendant was ready to leave for the evening and no one would have been on hand to check us in. Our information was that check-in was "from 14:00" - nothing was said to indicate that we needed to arrive before 19:00. It all turned out ok, however, and we had a very quiet and comfortable stay.

The accommodations are charming! Our room was just cozy! With a side balcony overlooking the sea, but the bed, the curtain was opened and through the huge window, you could see that wonderful sea from which we saw the sunrise. They are a family! We were very well received! A table prepared for dinner with beautiful crockery and cutlery! With small flower arrangements, bowls and sousplat that completed the charm and sophistication. The best part was the wonderful dinner! Very tasty, and don't even mention the dessert! From Gods! Everything prepared with a lot of commitment and care! The next morning, breakfast was a delicious surprise, prepared with a menu, but we could also choose some items peculiar to each one according to an individual menu, prepared by them. It was perfect! Without a doubt the best of our entire stay in South Africa! It's a shame, that throughout South Africa, there is a problem with lack of energy. But by the end of the trip we were adapting.

A magnificent residence perched high up facing the sea. A warm welcome, a cozy room with even a small terrace. Hearty breakfast. Only the wifi is a little weak. Warning: no restoration contrary to what one may read.

Thank you for hosting the large Hungarian group (8x Couples) at the lodge. Feedback was positive from the group. The location and rooms were mentioned as being overall superb. Breakfast was good and their nights rest was good.

Food was great, staff very friendly. A very clean and quite environment. We will definitely cone back for a longer stay. The place is so convenient, there are nice restaurants within two minutes drive.
