Super buena experiencia, al lado del centro de Figueres. La habitación super limpia, nosotros cogimos la que tenía hidromasaje en la habitación y super bien! Super buen trato por parte de las recepcionistas, sin duda, repetiría. Y por poner algún inconveniente… una pena que el parking no sea gratis jajajaja, pero bueno son 13€ el día, tampoco es caro.

The 150-year-old hotel feels very good and the price is not too expensive. The train is only 55 minutes from Barcelona. Early in the morning, I didn’t have breakfast because I was going to the Dali’s former residence on the beach, but I guess the breakfast would be good. We had a great dinner at the hotel!! Great! We stayed in a triple room with three beds so there was no problem with the children. In addition, many of Dalí's original works are displayed at the hotel....just like Dali's gallery.

The hotel is stunning and beautifully updated in a wonderfully historic environment, so not the box in tower and so much the modern room in an ancient manor. For royalty-level luxury, you pay Holiday Inn rates (really, get out of Barcelona, enjoy Catalunya without the urban mark up). But, so much more, the staff are amazing. They will arrange rides for you, throw in some grapes with your Cava, call ahead to the museum to make sure there is luggage storage, and greet you personally on arrival, departure, and all trips in between. We booked two nights and, on the spur of the moment, decided to stay an extra night, use the spa and check out the town. The hotel only opened in 2021, and this morning we learned that they still have ALL the same staff, from the cleaning crew, to reception, to the servers; that tells you all you need to know. We would go again, and that says a lot since we NEVER go to the same place twice. Plus, the town is a historic jewel with character and a Michelin-starred restaurant (see our other post). This wasn’t in our guidebook, and the guidebook was wrong.

We have been hosted a weekend with two little girls, they gave us a apartment one room and in the dining room two sofas. When they went to complain, they told us that there was nothing more, we are talking about a nine-stage building early in May (not high season), we asked them for sawns and coats and it seems that it was not your pleasure for that request. The apartment is located on the back of the hotel, where several music bars are located ...Try to sleep ... is to have luck with the young people's fights and music without limit. I won't come back or recommend it

Looking for the address of this hotel caused almost a civilian war between me and my hub. On my confirmations booking stated that the address is at the duty free shopping centre. Our gps car has brought us to the address and stop as it reach the number of the address. But instead, we found a huge building project on the stage at that location. On the left and on the right that project are supermarket etc but no hotel. Due to the communication barrier, no one could help us or understand us for what we are looking for. Neither a waitress of a gasoline pump who I asked her for help. It turned up later she works only few steps located from this hotel. My high blood pressure rose as the time went almost 1,5 hrs only searching and searching. I am lucky to have a super patience husband. After the so many turned around only at the duty free shopping centre, we found him. The hotel situated at the end of the building and the entrance is at the back side of the building where hundred of trucks are parked. Be warned if you are looking for the address of this hotel at the La Jonquera duty free shopping centre. The hotel is ok. Good for a night rest. Clean and wide space. The breakfast is à la cart. You get in a tray healthy and usual breakfast plus fresh fruits. My idea, if you are looking for a night rest and rather cheap hotel, after you read my review, the La Jonquera hotel is good to take. Otherwise, the other hotel at the other side of duty free area also a choice to take.

We were in a house in the region, and we were looking for something nice to eat and ended up on the site of this hotel. On their site, Castell Peralada restaurant, which has been awarded a Michelin star, is one of the restaurants where you can eat. Reading about that and the fact that Toni Gerez is now the host there made us decide to book both hotel and restaurant. Upon checking in, we soon found out that the restaurant was not in the hotel, but a 30-minute walk away. I assumed that the hotel would provide transportation to and from the restaurant. Lots of back and forth, and it turned out to be possible. I was obviously surprised that we had to discuss this; a 5-star hotel should have something like this arranged. Also, suggesting something on your site is very misleading when you don't have it. I also did not understand the story that it was in the castle and not in the hotel. Indeed I don't know that the hotel is not a castle. But anyway. Our room was spotless and equipped with a large, comfortable bed and a more than a neat bathroom with a bath and shower. We had a lovely wine at the bar by the pool and then got ready for a lovely evening in the restaurant. As agreed, we were at the reception desk at the appointed time for our shuttle to the restaurant. When I checked in, I was told in no uncertain terms that a shuttle back could not be arranged; they only did that on weekends. It became a back and forth chattered again, and I was fed up; I said I'll arrange it myself, bye! Once at the restaurant, the host Toni Gerez arranged the transportation, and to my surprise, the hotel shuttle showed up again; why all the hassle. By the way, we slept wonderfully. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast served at the table. The hotel is beautiful and modern; they just need to send the front desk on a course in hospitality that belongs to people who are used to 5-star hotels.

GGuest UserWelcoming staff , in particular Jonathan who looked after us. Most staff will address you in your language and make sure you have a fantastic experience. If you book directly, car parking is included. The hotel is close to the centre so it is very convenient if you want to walk everywhere and leave your car in the parking during your stay. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where we dined. The squid, the ravioli with prawns, the seabass and the turbot were gorgeous. As aperitif my husband had a glass of a local white wine, I chose a glass of a local sparkling wine. For our mains we chose an Albariño. All were excellent. In summary a top stay in a wonderful hotel.

The rooms are simple but it’s the view that’s superb here. It’s well worthwhile going for a terrace with a sea view. When we arrived, whoever the gentleman on reception was was not having a good day. We asked whether we could get a larger room as as we saw there were wider rooms on the room plan but he snapped at us saying that all the rooms were the same size and we had a bigger balcony. The next morning when we came down to reception, it was a different story altogether. The young man and his parents (we assume) were lovely. And confirmed that the rooms were of different sizes and told us we could happily have another room. The rooms have small fridges and a safe which is great if you wanted to go for a swim otherwise they’re simply decorated in white and have everything you need. Good WiFi and aircon. Our room was very clean. We made good use of our terrace eating breakfast there. There is no lift so if you have any mobility problems it would be difficult for you. The steps are steep. No breakfast is offered but there was a restaurant attached and the food looks very good.

GGuest UserGreat little hotel - in a great location opposite the Port of Roses and the Marina, at one end of a promenade, and a 2 minute walk to the beach. It has a pool - and the poolside area is spotlessly clean - as, indeed, is the whole hotel Rooms are comfortable, and all of them have a balcony, and at least a partial view of the sea. Our room was the cheapest available, and the view from the balcony was stunning. Breakfasts are excellent, catering for all tastes. The hotel is reasonably priced, and for a quick trip away, it was good value for money. Car parking at the hotel itself is highly restricted, but there are 'drop off' places for you to drop off your bags. There are two car parks within a minutes walk (over the road in front of the hotel, and over the road to the side) that are free to use.

GGuest UserHostal Juventus is a typical old accommodation located in the center of Portbou, the last Catalan town before the border with France. It has a rate quality/price good. The room had two beds and some amenities, however there is a shared bathroom. However the bar was noisy, I could sleep well at night. Good and pragmatic place to stay one night (specially if the train you want to catch disappeared mysteriously).
