Le Domaine de L Orangeraie Resort et Spa

Exceptional hotel on exceptional island. Great food and service. We could cycle everywhere, the pool is amazing and the location could not be better. I would definitely stay again and for longer if it were a tiny bit more affordable.

we had such an amazing stay at Le Domaine de l’Orangeraie. Amazing customer service, friendliness of the staff, an amazing Villa de Charme with the best view, the half board was of great value, and the location was great on La Digue. We can’t wait to come back! Nothing to complain about. I highly recommend this hotel.

honeymooned here and it exceeded all expectations. La Digue is super friendly & laid back. Exceptional room; large, cool design, immense out door bathroom & large veranda. Food superb, staff/customer service wonderful. We will go back!

Disappointing. Having spent £2000 for 4 nights stay for a honeymoon we were given an unexpected stand-up comedy routine delivered by Deepak, the hotel manager. He explained to us that the complimentary honeymoon drinks voucher (probably worth £10) and the honeymoon massage voucher could not be honoured. It turned out that there was a long list of undisclosed terms and conditions that made getting your complimentary drink harder work than swimming to the seychelles. After an initial giggle that a gin & tonic was considered a premium cocktail that couldn't possibly be eligible for the voucher, Deepak then delivered his comedy punchline as he stood in front of my 7 months pregnant wife.... the zero-alcohol cocktails were also not eligible for the honeymoon cocktail voucher, only alcoholic ones were available (subject to Ts&Cs). The good news is that after 4 days of sitting by the pool I got a decent work-out trying to restrain my pregnant wife as she looking increasingly like she was going to strangle the penny pinching manager. I would highly recommend La Digue but I wouldn't bother with L'Orangerie. Lovely hotel, poor customer service. Whilst I couldn't care less about a drinks voucher, the experience tells you everything you need to know about the hotels attitude to hospitality.

This is a very beautiful hotel in a perfect location. We had a beautiful garden view room which was lovely. The food was excellent with lovely staff throughout the hotel. We hired bikes and enjoyed seeing other parts of the island. It is also very convenient for a trip to Praslin as the ferry is only 15 minutes. The only negatives are the pool has extremely high steps to get in and out the pool, so anyone with mobility issues will struggle. The height of each step is higher than my knee. Also it would be a good idea to have a booking system for checks outs to use the shower before departing. As everyone arriving at once did not work. A simple booking system would stop this chaos. I would highly recommend this hotel and be very happy to return. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This hotel is truly exceptional, a beautiful hotel, friendly staff and the food is incredible!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
