I have stayed in one of the best hotels in Costa Rica. I strongly recommend everyone to stay. The environmental facilities are very good. Even the water in the pipes is slippery.

Muy bien situado, en la loma del volcán como bien dice el nombre, pero muy viejito y con necesidad de reforma urgente, todo son casas independientes y no está exento de cierto encanto. El desayuno es correcto y tiene cocina en vivo, muy amables.

Receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. In fact she seemed to go out of her way to make the process difficult. Eg she refused to give me simple details about breakfast and pool timings, insisting that my husband join. Her demeanor was awful, so our first impression was tarnished. Entry is also tough for the last few kms. as the road is not paved. Rooms and bathrooms are not modern but the view of Arenal is great.

Fui este fin de semana pasado y el lugar muy limpio, tranquilo, la mayoría del personal amable, la comida muy rica. Una ubicación impresionante del volcán. Lo único que no nos gusto pero quedó de experiencia para que no nos suceda en ningún otro hotel, fue que cuando hicimos el check out, revisaron la habitación, dicen todo en orden (sabíamos así era) y escuchamos cuando llaman por la radio y el hombre dice esto y hacemos la cancelación de cargos a la habitación (alimentos y bebidas) dan la factura pero cuando llegamos a nuestro hogar tenemos la sorpresa que nos cargan $75 más y la respuesta y sorpresa cuando llame es que habían encontrado una plancha quebrada en la habitación. Objeto que nunca vimos ni hicimos uso de. Pregunte a la recepción y dicen la de limpieza la encontró justo cuando llego a limpiar. Lo extraño es que pregunte donde estaba y no me dijeron. Y uno por confiado no revisa la habitación por completo. El bidet si estaba malo y reportamos desde el primer día dijeron iban ir para ver pero esto nunca funcionó en toda nuestra estadía. Finalmente el día de hoy dijeron reembolsaron los $75 y pidieron disculpas por el caso pero la molestia generada y no sentír tranquilos a ir a un hotel porque tenés que revisar todo está bien, para que no cobren algo que uno no daño.

The little semi luxury cabins here are amazing! Friendly, professional service all around, especially the breakfast staff! Would likely stay here again the next time! 4 nights for $700 was more than reasonable for what we got: PROs: -Large spacious cabin with big clean bathroom. -Very comfortable king bed, fridge, large LCD TV, coffee maker -Fun pool area with a cold and a heated pool with swim up bar. -Amazing breakfast buffet that changed daily, with a fresh omelette station. CONs: -1km road to the hotel is unpaved and very rocky, its nearly 5 minutes each way. -Some tiny ants in the room, but that is normal for Costa Rica. -Depending on your cabin location, it can be a long walk to the breakfast and pool areas. We drove because of rain or heat.
