Very happy with our stay at the Ushuaia Mountain Hotel. Excellent value for money - good size, modern rooms, a nice spa, and excellent buffet with a wide choicebof quality food options for breakfast / dinner. The staff were always really friendly and helpful and there is even a kids club with activities laid on every evening. The hotel is located at the foot of the ski lift with a nice run down so you can literally ski home to the bar for a beer. Nice !

The Ushuaia hotel was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean with a great selection of really good food from the buffet which was different each night. The only minor irritation with the hotel was the bar staff who, all though were fantastic, the service was very slow at busy times. Free ski lockers were provided in the hotel & it was only 1 minute to the lift. I would highly recommend the hotel but a have a few warnings if you are skiing with beginners: If you are booking this is a "ski in" hotel, beginners will struggle to get down the Blue run to the hotel. I have skied for 30 years & would say that it was a difficult blue & you would have to come down on the chair. I have seen many comments saying Arinsal is a great place for beginners. I totally disagree. There is only one nursery slope, & I appreciate that it was half term, but it was heaving. Beginners we spoke to were bored as the queue wasn't worth 15 seconds of skiing before re-joining the long queue. There is a Green marked on the piste map but even a ski guide said it's really a blue. Pal next door has much better beginner facilities. However, as a beginner to get to the nursery slopes in Pal, you would need to travel on the bus, but only for about 8 minutes. There is a cable car from the top of Arinsal across to Pal, but you would need to ski down Blue's to get to the nursery slopes. Getting back to Arinsal, by the Free Bus or the L5 service, on the day we tried, as my wife is not a confident skier, included an hour wait at the bus stop in Pal as information on times is sketchy at best. Both services do take you back to the Ushuaia though. Intermediate skiers would find the amount of ski school trains in your way annoying. Yes everyone has to learn but, there are simply too many instructors & some classes were 14 strong so you are picking your way around them. I must mention the cleanliness of all facilities on the mountain as they were brilliant. Lunchtime eating was priced reasonably as well in both Arinsal & Pal. Would I go back to the Ushuaia, definitely Would I go back to ski in Arinsal, maybe Would I go back to ski in Pal, yes

Lovely hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent location right next to the ski lifts. Free WiFi absolute bonus and works well all through the hotel. Room 108 overlooks the ski lift. Big room, twin beds. Fantastic power shower. Mini bar. Free safe. Hairdryer. Balcony with table and chairs. Located on same floor as restaurant so very convenient.

We were a party of 12 (4 adults with 8 teens/kids) and we are just back from a 5 night stay at the Ushuaia hotel in Arinsal. We had a great stay. The hotel is perfectly located beside a chair lift up to the slopes and the ski rental / ski lockers were located at the hotel. Most of us skied back down in the evenings but you could also take the chair lift down which was a plus with the smaller kids who were tired after the days skiing. There is about a 10 min walk down a hill into Arinsal but there is also a free bus as well as a public bus both of whch we used with no issues. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and most helpful at all times during our stay. We had half board and the buffet style food for the mornings and evenings was perfect for our group particulary with 5 hungry teens!!!!. There was always plenty of food which was of good quality and had great variety. Only a small complaint in that I like my food very hot and found some evenings that the food was a little cold but there was a microwave at the buffet which I used to heat it up and we felt the charge for tap water in the evening times was a little high given the amount of water our group consumed each evening. The rooms were spacious and were madeup and cleaned every day. The adults all made use of the steamroom, sauna and jacuzzi most days and it was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Could not find a fault with the Ushuaia. Stayed there with a large family group last week and the hotel catered for everyone perfectly. The food is fabulous with a great selection both morning and evening, staff amazing, spotlessly clean. The location was perfect for those who wanted to jump on chair lift and ski!

Excellent. Very difficult to find any flaws. The place is exceptional- very easy for skiing. Everything is easy and accessible. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The beds are amazing. Only fault is spotty internet service. Overall service and value for the money very good

We returned today from Ushuaia Mountain Hotel and wanted to thank the staff and mangers for a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a junior suite with our family of 4, and it was perfect having a separate bedroom. The rooms are very clean, warm and modern. The buffet breakfast and dinners were excellent. The sauna was lovely for us adults (and free) and the gym is well-equippied. Fantastic wifi and we even got our Firestick to work. Nice bar to relax and paly pool after a day on the slopes. The ski-lockers were good and as the hotel is at the bottom of a blue run you can ski-down each day (or if you perfer take the chair-lift 20 yards away!) We have previously stayed in the Pricessa Park and the Pantagonia, and the Ushuaia is our favourite stay. We are looking forward to next year already. Thank you :)

The hotel itself I cannot fault! It’s picture perfect as advertised and the location is spot on for access to the lifts; especially when you’re a few days in and don’t want to keep lugging your skis into the town! The hotel has a ski rental shop situated right outside the hotel entrance and the staff were incredibly helpful; get there early!!!. The rooms are decorated to modern taste with super comfy beds with any extras you could need to make your stay comfortable. The hotel has a spa (hot tub, steam room and sauna) you can book into which was perfect after a long day of skiing; or falling over in my case. It’s about a ten minute walk into town, though be warned, it’s quite a tiring trek walking back up the hill to the hotel. Thankfully there is a free bus service until certain times running from the hotel and back. For those who miss this service, you can catch the towns bus service down and back up for about 1 euro 80 each way (tip, always have cash as the bus service doesn’t accept card). It’s a life saver when you’re tired out and runs until about 9pm. My only complaint about this hotel is the restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner included in our stay and the food was average at best. When you see a microwave located next to the serving bar, it made sense when all the food is either cold or mildly warm. I remember lifting up the serving lid on spaghetti and the spaghetti was stone cold! When I highlighted this, they said they turned off the heaters and it needed to be turned back on. That’s not very helpful when you’re hungry and just want to eat. The food choices are just ‘ok’ , if you’re vegan or vegetarian like me, there’s barely anything to accommodate this. I also seen nothing for those who require gluten free options. Perhaps you needed to ask for this, but even so, I wouldn’t expect anything that would coincide with the four stars this hotel has. The restaurant was fairly empty most of the time and I think this is why. The restaurant staff were helpful, but never seemed that cheery in doing so. I think you can order different food from the bar downstairs but that kind of defeats the object of having food included in your stay. I will say, no matter what time you arrive or leave, the hotel will happily prepare you a breakfast to take with you to the airport, or when arriving late like we did, they sent food to our room. Again though, no dietary requirements were taken and I ended up with meat options on both occasions; this could be my fault for not stating this on arrival, though I’m not sure this would have made much of a difference. Would we return?! YES! Just with the understanding that we would be eating out most nights. A tip, I’m a beginner at skiing and some of the run colours were questionable!! One green run and the blue runs, well, you will certainly be faced with some vertical drops!! Still, at least I mastered the snow plow well!

Incredible hotel that is located in a privileged area of Arinsal. at the foot of the slopes and with charming staff, both in the restaurant and at the reception, all very attentive, but without a doubt the most attentive is Montse Molina who advised us on how to organize our family weekend.

Hotel at the foot of the chairlift, the director is very attentive, we wanted vegetarian dishes, she did what was necessary with her chef to have more vegetables. Great choice at breakfast. The rooms are spacious and clean. The sauna and hammam area is free upon reservation
