Estival Park Silmar

We stopped in a Block 5 apartment, 2 bed. Requested a sea view and got a great spot with huge veranda looking down the promenade. Did us perfect. Large kitchen, including washing machine. Could have done with a kettle. Food was good. Lots of variety. We had all 3 hotels to use. Hotel 3 is TUI, we could use the pool, bar and restaurant (for lunch only). Generally, all served the same food. Entertainment was good (a choice across hotels 1 & 2). Rooftop pool and bar needed to be paid for adults only access. Sports facilities are excellent. Really good gym. Most of the other stuff had to be paid for... paddle tennis, tennis, squash. There is a really nice Spa and Pool in the complex, but this is separate to the hotels. Staff were really hard working. Salou and Cambrils are worth a day visit. You can either catch the bus from the front (only a few euros), or a taxi (€10-15 to Salou, €20-25 Cambrils). Overall the hotel is more 3 star than 4. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday.

Hotels on the park are 3 🌟 apart from the oasium which is a 4 + rooms are adequate although I did see cockroaches in my bathroom, buffet food is a good standard and the rooftop bar and gym are both 5🌟 generally it’s clean and tidy with good staff , the main hotels would suit families on a budget .

We are currently here and staying in Hotel 2. I read the recent reviews and expected the worse. How pleasantly surprised I was! Rooms are modern and clean. Food is good and lots of choice. The setting is ideal and the staff so far very helpful. We have a fabulous view from our balcony and the aircon is modern and comfortable. Yet to try the rooftop pool and bar or the spa but they look amazing. I would definitely recommend it to families and couples.

After ready the reviews I was nervous. My teenage daughter and I spent 5 days in hotel 1. It was very clean, spacious, friendly and had a vast array of delicious food for breakfast and dinner. A great choice of food what ever you taste. Also gluten free counter. Having gone half board, the drinks weren’t that expensive too. The pool was fun, we enjoyed aqua gym and pool Zumba as well as a dip now and again to cool off. No fights for the sun-beds plenty to go around! A lifeguard who wandered round making sure we were all having a good holiday! Evening entertainment was brilliant… hip hop dance group was our favourite but also Queen tribute, rock band and solo singers were all fun. Lots of adults and children alike dancing and singing the night away. Local area is lovely with a clean beach, brilliant water park ( full day entertainment… find a 20% voucher in local shops or online) and lovely shops, supermarkets and restaurants catering for tourists. An easy bus ride to Salou for water sports if that’s what you fancy. Overall the complex was clean, friendly and safe. We loved our holiday! Would recommend.

Came as a family of 3. Got tui flight in and got to hotel at 10.30 to be told the apartment wouldn't be ready until 1, then 2, then at 3. A lot of waiting around. Would advice packing a bag with swim wear etc so you could relax around the pool. Finally got the key at 3.15. Went to collect bags from bag room on my own as hubby and daughter alsleep downstairs as we had been up since 1 for an early flight. Had 3 suitcases, backpack and smaller bags. Bus boy opened door and then watched as I struggled with them all. Not a good start. The hotel is 2 hotels (3 when we had originally booked) and a set of 8 apartment blocks with their own pool. Apart from ours being on the top floor so up 30 steps with the suitcases it was OK. The bathroom had been done up, the bedroom and room was basic but usable. Tips.. you need to pay for a key for the safe at 2 euros a day and 10 euro deposit. You also don't get a kettle which is also 2 euro a day plus 10 euro deposit. No tea, coffee, sugar milk etc in the room so you have to buy them. Not even a bottle of water in the fridge. Once we had got over the initial day we had fun. There's a main pool outside the hotel 1 which we used. We would get there for 9 ish to get sunbeds under an umbrella but if you didn't want an umbrella you could still get sunbeds at 11 no problem. Snack bars serves burgers, nuggets, toasted sandwiches, chips, crisps, salads and fruit. Really good but you do need to have a top on to get the food. Room just inside the hotel for all inclusive drinks, coffee, water, buns, beer, sangria, ice cream which you could get yourselves. Very good so no waiting at the bar. Other drinks could be got at the bar, and menu showed which were included and which cost either a euro or 2 euros. Very close to the sea which we loved. It wasn't cold and you could swim in it very easily. Just outside the complex was a supermarket, shops, bars, kids arcades. Bus stop on sea front to salou, cambrilla, tarragona. Pop in the bus/trip shop to the right of the hotel and grab a card for 10 euros for the bus which covers 10 trips to anywhere. Easier and cheaper than cash on the bus. Loved cambrills, loved salou and went to the shopping centre in tarragona which had shops for all. Overall a great location. More of a 3 star hotel than 4, everyone seemed friendly, food as expected for an all inclusive. Personally wouldn't book again but others thought it was amazing.

Nah, you need to be honest with people. Your photos reflect nothing like what the hotels like. Although advertised as family friendly you have shown peaceful pictures, all serene looking . . just show the real place. I'm here as a mum with my family and Waw it's packed and it's WILD. Kids screaming everywhere up and down corridors late at night and destroying the buffets during the day. Tables and floors not getting cleaned etc ... It's mental. LOUD live music outside til wee small hours, so small kids won't sleep. It's so busy. You have to show people in your photos how much this place is jumping and loud loud loud. In case that's not their vibe , to save them spending £1,600 for the week. Its definitely been miss-sold to us. We won't sleep all week. Positives - it's next to the beach and staff are friendly.
