3-Star Hotels in La Rochelle

Personnel agréable. Nous avons eu une chambre PMR comme demandé sur Booking en souhait et sans avoir a le preciser a nouveau a l'arrivé. Les chambres sont correctes pour le prix. Petit bémol sur le bruit de la clim mais étant donné que nous étions au RDC avec gros vis a vis il était impossible de laisser de toute façon la fenêtre ouverte donc un + pour la clim mais dommage pour le bruit. Les 2 gros bémols : le bruit de la route et le prix des boissons a l'accueil. Seulement quelques références en stock et surtout consignes en verre donc très chères. Surtout pour deux petites bouteille d'eau 50cl en verre vitel a 3.70 ou 4.70 je ne me souvient plus la bouteille petit format. Dans l'ensemble même si la chambre faisait un peu usee dans l'ensemble, le confort était la. Cela reste un bon rapport qualité prix

We had one night in La Rochelle and my wife had booked this hotel in advance months ago. It's just at the edge of the Old Town, so you need to park somewhere. The location is just perfect a couple of minutes away from the heart of the harbor, packed with restaurants, tourists and a cool street ambience. The hotel had no elevator, by chance we only had a floor to climb up. Good beds, complete bathroom, a new smart TV in the room allowing quick and easy USB movie loading... That's more that we expected for a 3-star hotel. Also, the breakfast was very good! Additional kudos to the front desk manager, very kind and helpful. That's my go-to place in La Rochelle.

The shower completely flooded the bathroom each time it was used, the glass doors had no seals, my husband had just had a new hip and slipped badly on one occasion, I spent a lot of time mopping the floor with towels and tissues, my brother in law and his wife had the same issues in the room opposite. Breakfast was disappointing, the advertised frozen yogurt machine ran dry and was still empty the next day, no fruit either the following morning and one of the coffee machines not working on both days meant queues for drinks. The staff were friendly, but the air conditioning in both our rooms didn’t work so very hot uncomfortable nights even with the windows wedged open, they wouldn’t stay open without something to jam them open. All a bit of a shame really because everything could have been fixed, the location however was perfect for a leisurely walk into La Rochelle

Disappointing. Read the write up and thought it would be a nice spa hotel...nope more like a hostel with a steam room(which was closed) and a. school type swimming pool which is dated and nothing like the photos. We've spent 3 weeks travelling Spain and France and this was our last place and our least favourite of the whole trip. Positives- friendly staff on arrival, underground parking (worth paying. for as roads nearby are full of cars), room is clean and has a cute kitchenette so we could cook a meal after a very long drive. It's a basic hotel and worth a stop over but wouldn't stay again - sorry

The erea was fantastic, the girls at reception were very helpful and extremely friendly. The room we paid for as an upgrade and received 2 welcome drinks, we expected a small room and that’s what we got but our complaints are no replacement coffee satchets or paper cups, the pump cleanser in the shower was empty but you don’t notice until you are in the shower and then try to unclip the one above the bathroom sink. The girls cleaning the rooms should check these things every time.

Arrived after cycling in the rain for most of the day so we were a bit dirty. The reception staff were not very welcoming and made me feel uncomfortable. The secure bicycle parking was outside in the car park and not even under cover. Whilst the room was nice and the bed comfortable the shower was poorly designed. The shower cubicle was tiny and the doors opened inward so getting in and out was difficult. The vent was in a cubicle next to the shower and did not do anything to remove steam. There was black mould on the ceiling above the shower and the tiles had been painted and this was peeling off. This is a very overpriced hotel for what it offers, there are other hotel chains that offer better quality and better value for money. It is located about 1.5 kilometres from the old town and there was nothing close by.

Relatively easy check in for our broken French. Not many facilities open around here, including the bar, it is January after all. But it is located in a excellent position walking distance to everything you need. The room was immaculate, bathroom facilities excellent. I was a bit concerned about noise from the lift opposite - never heard a thing. Bed was so comfy, warm and as said in title, spotlessly clean! Very reasonable price for location, only regret is that we are only here for one night. Highly recommend!

Great location close to all cafés, restaurants and marina. Clean stylish room, comfy bed, good self service breakfast - though at busy times finding a table can be a problem. If you like your window open during the night expect some noise from the surrounding streets. Five minute walk to underground carpark with special hotel rate. Recommended.
