This hotel is in a fantastic location, in the middle of many shops and restaurants. International brand shopping is within walking distance. The views from the window are outstanding. The bed is comfortable.
The front desk staff was very helpful in recommending places to eat and other sites.
My only complaint is that I found several hairs in the shower upon inspecting the room. This issue should be addressed with housekeeping.

Stayed two nights here and I am sorry it wasn’t longer. This hotel is very well run and all the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. To start with the room was excellent. It was fresh and new with a decent size bathroom. Very comfortable indeed. Breakfast is well organised and there is a large choice of bread and cereal. Thank you for having filter coffee! We enjoyed the restaurant so much we had dinner there both nights too. The pool is a good size - you can actually swim and do lengths - and there are plenty of loungers. Can’t praise this place enough. Check in and check out efficient and friendly as well.

B&B hotel La Rochelle centre (boulevard Joffre) Very beautiful surprise! The room was very good, but it was very good. In addition, very sympathetic staff, professional, friendly, serviceable, very good room, very clean, already prepared paraplus bed, very good bed, small more boiler, coffee tea available in the room. The very clean rooms, the small dej very well and the location of the hotel very well. The code put in place in the rooms to replace the magnetic cards you lose or forget to make, very well too! I have no negative point to say! Bravo and great thanks !

Excellent! The service is sensationally good. The rooms are clean, large enough with small kitchen and refrigerator. The pool is very well maintained and there is a pool bar. The hottest day of Europe, this hotel was our rescue. We had a problem with the car the staff was super nice and helped bring our car to the deep garage. The bar is well equipped and you get professional information for drink.
We used the wellness area with sauna, steam sauna and massage. There were overall only positive experiences. The staff is everybody in individual multilingual. Great! We're happy to come back.

Overall it's very good, the front desk is patient and responsible! The hotel management is very good. The door will be closed at night, and you need the password given in the key card to open the door. It feels very safe; the hotel and the room are also very clean! The city is beautiful. It takes 15/20 minutes to walk or take the bus to the beach. It is well worth a visit!

The shower completely flooded the bathroom each time it was used, the glass doors had no seals, my husband had just had a new hip and slipped badly on one occasion, I spent a lot of time mopping the floor with towels and tissues, my brother in law and his wife had the same issues in the room opposite. Breakfast was disappointing, the advertised frozen yogurt machine ran dry and was still empty the next day, no fruit either the following morning and one of the coffee machines not working on both days meant queues for drinks. The staff were friendly, but the air conditioning in both our rooms didn’t work so very hot uncomfortable nights even with the windows wedged open, they wouldn’t stay open without something to jam them open. All a bit of a shame really because everything could have been fixed, the location however was perfect for a leisurely walk into La Rochelle

We called to see if they had a room for one night, and so we arrived to a very friendly welcome after yet another tiring journey plus driving through Rochelle was a bit of a nightmare.. We were welcomed by the lovely Christiane and after the formalities of checking in we made our way to our allocated room. First impressions Wow! A huge room overlooking a beautiful garden, a lovely big shower, separate toilet, and a comfortable lounge area complete with a fridge stocked with some water, and a coffee machine The bed was large and very comfortable - everything was just so! Apart from the coffee cups which were far too big for the machine , and so it happened that when my husband was making a coffee, the cup now with hot coffee toppled over, scalding his hand and thus creating a large stain on the carpet. Whoever thought that putting large tea cups by a coffee machine that takes espresso size cups was a good idea? attention to detail.. Dinner in the restaurant was a farce. We waited a good while to be assisted to an available table - there were quite a few empty and unlaid tables, so when I asked the waiter for us to be seated at a somewhat larger table, his instant reaction was a very firm NO.. as it was supposed to be FOR FOUR PEOPLE - NOT TWO!! It hadn't even been laid up for 4 people.. and so I asked if he was expecting 4 people to arrive when there were so many other tables available. But the man said NO, and so NO it was.. It could only get better .. or could it? he placed us on a small empty table and then it took ages for him to arrive with the cutlery. We then waited another 15 or so minutes before he came with the menu on a blackboard,. By now we didn't even want to be in the restaurant any longer so we asked for something simple like an omelette, again the answer was a firm NO, and by this point we just decided to have some cheese and bread to share and be done with it. that too took an age to make its way to our table. All in all not a good experience so after our cheese and bread supper we upped and left and went back to our room We ended up staying for 2 nights as it was really comfortable - plus we needed a good rest, and we avoided the restaurant at all cost A very special thanks to Christiane!

Jjack764The hotel is in service, health, breakfast, etc. everything is fine.
My favorite hotel on a recent driving trip in France. Rooms were nice size and felt new, clean, and luxury level. Breakfast, while perhaps a bit expensive, was very good with the best scrambled eggs, and all the other usual items you would expect on a breakfast buffet. All the staff were nice and gave me good parking tips. The hotel is in a good location just a couple blocks from the cathedral and about a 10 minute walk down to all the waterside cafes and restaurants. At the desk they gave me a map for a walking tour of New Rochelle. For me, an unexpected find was the 'Bunker Museum' if you are interested in WWII. Tip: about 12 minutes walk north is patisserie 'Reveur de Pain' -- make sure you have the right one as there is at least one other patisserie that you will pass before you get there -- anyway, Reveur de Pain is not to be missed. (You can also drive up there if you have a car.) Oh, yes, the most convenient parking for the hotel is if you can get the outdoor lot at Place Verdun. If full, you can go to the more expensive indoor lot, and then move your car later.
GGuest UserWe stayed here for a short Anniversary trip to La Rochelle, and the hotel itself has a great location situated close to the Old Port and a stone’s throw from the Lantern Tower, large west car park, the beach and nearby animal parc. Furthermore it is on the doorstep of the semi-pedestrianised Rue St Jean du Perot and its multitude of restaurants that lead down to the harbourside. Although we stayed over during a bank holiday the Hotel was seemingly very quiet, a tribute to the soundproofing perhaps? Indeed we only realised that there were a lot of other guests when we saw them at Breakfast, which was buffet style and reasonably substantial. Our Exclusive room on the second floor was a bit too minimalist for my taste. There were no drawers for clothes, just a couple of open shelves next to a hanging space and there was not too much art in evidence although there was a large picture by the ground-floor entrance to the lift. On the negative side if you stop outside the main entrance to offload cases etc it is quite a circuitous route to get back behind the hotel to its own car park, which you have to pre-book (at a charge). We parked at ground level which is quite tight to get into. I never ventured down to the underground part of the Car park to see how accessible that was so can’t comment. On leaving the lift to walk to our room there was a damp/musty smell in the corridor and although it wasn’t too evident in our room we found that all our clothes smelt of it when we came home which wasn’t a pleasant reminder of one’s stay! Strangely for a city centre hotel in the room itself there was absolutely no hotel/town information booklet, or the usual tourist brochures one would associate with a location nor even a list of the TV Channels available on the flat screen in-room TV. Our trip did not afford us time to take in the ‘Spa’ part of the hotel. All I can say is that if there is such a facility it was not very well signposted. The bar did have a sign on it about the sauna but it implied that you had to give advance notice if you wanted to use it so that it could be switched on! I assume there was more to it than that but our short stay didn’t afford us the time to try it outif it was there.
MM8253FQjuliebArrived after cycling in the rain for most of the day so we were a bit dirty. The reception staff were not very welcoming and made me feel uncomfortable. The secure bicycle parking was outside in the car park and not even under cover. Whilst the room was nice and the bed comfortable the shower was poorly designed. The shower cubicle was tiny and the doors opened inward so getting in and out was difficult. The vent was in a cubicle next to the shower and did not do anything to remove steam. There was black mould on the ceiling above the shower and the tiles had been painted and this was peeling off. This is a very overpriced hotel for what it offers, there are other hotel chains that offer better quality and better value for money. It is located about 1.5 kilometres from the old town and there was nothing close by.
GGuest UserI really like this hotel, the location is perfect for the old town, with shops, bars, cafes etc within a few metres walk. The main transport square is only maybe 50m away, with lots of buses and bikes. It’s such a cool vibe inside the hotel, like 70’s style. Very friendly staff, very good value. The breakfast is ok, like a continental selection, nothing hot (apart from boiled eggs) but it’s fine. I’m on the second floor and here is a slight fan type noise all the time, it’s quieter as you go down each floor, but I’ve slept well. The veranda is a little grubby, as is the central outdoor area, but everything else is immaculate. Don’t expect that perfect modern hotel look, the bathroom for example looks “dated” but that’s the point - it’s really clean and looks so cool and homely, not like all the usual modern hotels that have no character. Good selection of books downstairs. I really like the place, originally booked 3 nights but extended that to just over a week which says something. Only marked 3 for Services as there’s not much else other than rooms, a chill out area and the breakfast room, so don’t expect spas/pools etc
Disappointing. Read the write up and thought it would be a nice spa hotel...nope more like a hostel with a steam room(which was closed) and a. school type swimming pool which is dated and nothing like the photos. We've spent 3 weeks travelling Spain and France and this was our last place and our least favourite of the whole trip. Positives- friendly staff on arrival, underground parking (worth paying. for as roads nearby are full of cars), room is clean and has a cute kitchenette so we could cook a meal after a very long drive. It's a basic hotel and worth a stop over but wouldn't stay again - sorry
Ggillesr286We just spent five days/night in this hotel and sincerely our stay was one of the most pleasant: welcome to the boss and his wife very nice convenient and exciting breakfast, The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. The hotel is a very good place to find a new way to get information about the tourists. The hotel is a very nice hotel, and the hotel is very nice and very nice.
