GGuest UserWe recently stayed here for one night on our travels. The location is fantastic, right in the center of El Calafate, with easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We had a car during our stay, and the hotel has their own small, secure lot, right on the property which was nice. The hotel itself looks a bit dated, wooden walls, worn bathroom, carpeted floors, etc. Not sure if other rooms had this issue, but our bathroom had a slightly sewer smell that would come and go throughout the day, there was also beard hair in the sink when we arrived, which was a slight turn-off. The included breakfast buffet was decent. Lots of choices of baked goods, fruits, etc. A fun bonus was the game room. We played some table tennis, but there was also the option of playing table football and pool, as well.

GGuest UserThe staff was so helpful to us. I accidentally left my camera on the bus, and they spent significant time on the phone with the bus company helping me retrieve it. They were always friendly and helpful, and the best part of this hostel. Another highlight of the hostel is the extensive common area, which is clean and spacious. Soft drinks, beer, and meals are available there, and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The hotel is a short walk, maybe 10 minutes, to the heart of the El Calafate restaurant/bar district. It’s also walkable to the bus station, perhaps 20-25 minutes. The luggage storage was large and very helpful for the 3 days we backpacked near Fitzroy. The private room with private bath was clean and simple. Wi-Fi worked well.

SsessiehikerThis well-designed hotel is a gem in Patagonia and is a centrally-located haven close to the main street with a lovely park, shops and restaurants. It had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and quiet. Exploring the Perito Moreno Glacier nearby was the stuff of dreams. We hope to come back some day!

GGuest UserEverything about this place is wonderful. It was the first place I visited while traveling as a backpacker. In addition to being economical, it is a space to feel, connect, and live magical experiences. The atmosphere is tremendously beautiful, it feels very calm and friendly, I found the rooms very nice, the beds were very comfortable, it is a safe place, I always loved the breakfast. The kitchen is a meeting space, and please, the people at the reception are WONDERFUL!! I hope you remember me, but for Liam, Dani, Jere, let them know that I loved them with my life and I remember them with love every day. I arrived with a full backpack and left with an even fuller heart. RECOMMENDED D I S I M O.

The receptionists were very helpful with everything I.e early check in, booking tours, airport taxi’s and general advice Also in a fantastic location. 15 minute walk to a Laguna and 10 minute walk into the main town. Highly recommend this place to anyone - couples, families or groups! Exactly what we needed for a few days here ☺️

GGuest UserIt really was a super positive experience!!! Beautiful place, central, impeccable, excellent attention from all the staff from Ornella when she welcomed us, to the guys at the concierge who I don't remember their names, the cleaning staff, the breakfast girl. I want to make a special mention to Lucas from the restaurant that we went to dinner on my birthday and he was so attentive to us with the delicious dessert and the toast he offered us, that shows excellent customer service. I also want to highlight the exquisite cuisine, congratulations to the Chef, the ambiance and also the attention of Brandon who served us on the last night we were there. I forgot the delicious breakfast!! It really is an EXCELLENT hotel in all its aspects and Super Recommended.

After brilliant experiences all over Argentina, Arakur in Ushuaia, Los Cerros in El Chalten, to hotels in Bariloche, BA. Mendoza etc, we were excited to stay here at Lagos. How disappointing. The breakfast was the quality of a hotel one third the price. They could not control guests at 1am from running up and down hallways, partying in rooms. The walls have no insulation, so my wife could hear snoring through her ear plugs, through a wall. The staff were obnoxiously rude. The rooms dated, no free water. At least they were clean. The lobby is nice, the pool beautiful. The chainsaw, mower and other power tools all day outside window, for three days though has been testing. Ask to speak to manager and got nothing. Changing rooms to cheaper one but not getting refundwas also hard. Do not recommend

Overall the Hotel was nice but when we first checked in the room they assigned to us was facing the dusty parking lot with no view whatsoever except the cars. When asked to be moved to another room, the morning reception person would only give us another room at an addition US $20 per night. The hotel did not appear to be fully booked so we surprised at this request but reluctantly agreed. Upon checking out, the same morning receptionist, she charged us twice for the bottles of water we consumed and in our rush to get the taxi did realize this unit l later. Other than the morning Reception person our stay was good. On the contrary, the evening Reception was much more helpful and pleasant.
