The staff was rarley at the desk. Many times over our stay I went to the desk for one thing or snother. It was almost impossible to get any service or have questions answered. Tiwels were almost impossible to get.

If this is all you can afford there are worse places to stay. If you can afford to spend $50 more dollars, it's worth it to NOT stay here. The location is a bit sketchy, across the street from a Dollar General and a gas station. The staff are clearly trying, the staff was friendly and obliging. The hotel itself is run down and dingy (not as pictured.) However, the room and elevator had an overwhelming stench of cleaner/deodorizer. We were only staying one night so we toughed it out. Will NOT be back. Would NOT recommend.

The room was nice, roomy, comfortable and clean. The front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights. The first breakfast - every single item was depleted and the person working there was uninterested in restocking. Same story the next day - no milk, no coffee, no yogurt, etc...disappointed.

That AC sound like a diesel truck. Very loud and noisy. Their was some kids on my wing and they made noise all night. Running up and down the hall. The adult couldn’t control them. I was told it would be a quiet night.

Random guy was knocking on the door at 12:30 am. When the front desk was called, they said it could have been one of their employees. I told them that why would their employees be knocking on the door at 12:30 am and we had the do not disturb sign on the door. Just felt unsafe and like their was a lack of concern for guest safety.

As we drove up we saw what I felt was a combination of a tropical resort in the caribbean (palm trees) and honey island swamp. Wonderful to see a place with some personality. Only negatives, and I'm being picky, was a "hardish" bed. The bathroom also smelled too much like disinfectant. The hotel is far enough away from the interstate that it's super quiet allowing for a good nights sleep. Super downside was that breakfast was not until 7am. We had to leave at 6am. Not even some nice coffee at 6am sitting out. The room was HUGE. We stayed in a handicapped accessible room even though we're not handicapped. The room had a sitting/couch area with its own separate tv. The toilet and shower were in a room and the sink area was separate. Nice. Best value for the money I've had in years. Even without eating breakfast.
