I wish I could say all wonderful things. Unfortunately, I cannot. The pros: Breathtaking view. Location in town is great. Rooms are very clean. CONS: The breakfast restaurant and rooftop bar just close or don't even open whenever they feel like it. The food at both is actually really good but it was a guessing game as to when or if they would be open, and if open, would they stay open and/or be able to serve you. I couldn't get a burger on a Friday night at 8:15 because they said they couldn't keep up with orders so they stopped taking them. The following day at 6:45 pm the staff said they were tired and wanted to go home so were closing at 7:30 pm. at the rooftop bar. The bar also couldn't provide cold beer on tap, pina coladas and such as things were broken. The Internet was down, their computers were down. The lake amenities, paddle boarding and such close at 5 pm, which is ridiculous. People go there for vacation! The general manager I'm assuming it was told a friend who came in to talk about something that was wrong there that she could just leave then and never come back, never trying to talk to the guest and fix the problem. They were just rude and dismissive. Another friend had to argue with the front desk to get a parking spot that is included in the nightly price because they let random people park there who weren't paying guests. Another guest told them she would be late for her reservation, specifically told, them, and when they arrived after driving for 5 hours were told they gave the room away and that that was that. No apologies, no explanation, just simply acted as if they could not have cared less about it and that it was the guest's problem. For a family-owned business it was so upsetting the way in which they spoke to good, paying guests . I honestly don't get it. Obviously they are understaffed for whatever reason. I hate to even write this, but people should know how it is.
