A gorgeous hotel set in lovely grounds with exceptional staff and service. Warmly greeted on reception and in the restaurant. Excellent lady serving breakfast also. Food was delicious in every way. Room (23) was large, comfortable, lovely views and peaceful - didn't hear a pin drop all night. So dog friendly, our dog had an absolute whale of a time - exploring the grounds and getting lots of love from the staff, even got served a sausage for his breakfast.

A lovely two nights spent at this very comfortable hotel. The room very comfortable, seven double plugs available, unusual for a hotel! Breakfast was ample with good choice but the restaurant provided a very good menu which we enjoyed on the two nights we stayed. All the staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed having the guests at the hotel. Will definitely return as an ideal base to explore west and north.

We have just returned home from a two night stay at The Falcondale. The food, the spacious valley view room, ambience of the hotel and the ever welcoming staff were second to none. One evening some friends met us at the hotel for dinner and the food and the relaxed atmosphere were first class. Many thanks to the whole team. The Moles and Alfie the Golden Retriever.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. The welcome was very warm, friendly and genuine. We had booked a room overlooking the valley which was very clean, modern and spacious. The bathroom was modern with a large shower. One complaint I had with the bathroom was the amount of time it took to get hot water out of the tap. I can’t imagine the amount of water that must be wasted just waiting for it to run warm. The food in the restaurant was good, well presented and well cooked. There was nothing pretentious about it just good home cooking.

As you meander slowly up the long approach to the hotel, past the grazing sheep…relax, because relaxation is what this charming hotel is all about. You’ll be greeted warmly and with a genuine smile as you check in. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The chefs use only the best ingredients. The hotel is a perfect base from which to explore the history of this part of mid-Wales. Take in the bi-lingual approach to everything. But what stands out is the staff. Traditional Welsh hospitality beginning to end. They add so much to the experience. A special word for young Cerys..a lady who is definitely going places..bright, engaging, a permanent smile and with a phenomenal intellect. The world is definitely going to be her oyster!

Lovely hotel set on beautiful grounds. Lovely room, clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and great service. We were late for breakfast one morning and even though the restaurant was closed and they had cleaned up. The chef made us breakfast and waitress was wonderful, they went out of her way for us. Great food. Highly recommended this hotel.

From start to finish,a superb holiday experience.The staff were both helpful and charming,and nothing was too much trouble.Our suite was superb with a stunning view over the Teifi valley.The food was very good but a daily special would add to the dining experience. Diolch yn fawr.

The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect area for walking. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom. The weather was amazing so we spent some time reading on the terrace of the gorgeous garden. The staff were friendly and attentive at all times. We loved the breakfasts and the afternoon tea (!) but were very disappointed with the evening meal.

We stayed here for two nights and it was a great experience. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is an old country house set in acres of its own grounds just outside the town of Lampeter. Despite its age everything was furnished to a high standard, and some of its quirkier aspects added to the charm. Our room was a little on the small side perhaps but was well appointed with lovely views over the garden and the hills beyond. We dined in the restaurant both nights and the food truly was exceptional. The wine list was also good and offered good value for money. Breakfast was also very good. The restaurant is attractive and also has a conservatory overlooking the beautiful gardens where you can sit and enjoy a pre-dinner drink and eat as well if you like. There are separate lounges/bar areas too next to the restaurant, and a residents' lounge on the first floor (which we didn't visit). We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly visit again if in the area. Highly recommended!
