Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi

So satisfied, it was truly a pleasant surprise. The reviews mentioned it was a bit old, but as soon as I entered the lobby, I felt like I was on vacation ⛱️. I unexpectedly caught a stunning sunset. It was uncrowded and very comfortable. The three restaurants were super convenient.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a beautiful beach and stunning sunset views. The only downside of the beach is that there's a fair bit of trash and a lack of staff to clean it up. The rooms are spacious, and while the facilities are a bit old, they're acceptable. The cleanliness is also pretty good. Compared to the price of the hotel, the breakfast feels a bit meager. However, the beach BBQ dinner is definitely worth trying – it's around 200 RM per person, and enjoying delicious food while watching the sunset on the beach is fantastic. It's best to book a front-row table when you check in. The hotel also has its own exclusive mangrove tour, which is very convenient.

The hotel is simply magnificent. The view from the room is splendid, the staff are friendly, and the room is clean with thoughtful amenities for a comfortable stay. The beach is excellent, and it's great that the hotel staff clean it every morning, as waves can bring in debris. The sea is wonderful, calm with no significant waves, perfect for a relaxing swim. The hotel also has two pools, suitable for children. The breakfasts are fantastic. We booked a room with a sea view, and the view is indeed impressive. What could be improved: installing YouTube on the TV. Overall, my impressions of the hotel stay are only positive :)

High quality for an affordable price! At this time of year, end of July, the sea is more or less clean :) A very beautiful bay with cliffs :) We will definitely come back again! 🤗 The staff is very responsive and friendly 🤗

This hotel really exceeded my expectations! First off, the environment is super natural and wild. We saw so many lizards on the lawn, digging into their holes, plus squirrels, monkeys, and geckos – it was so much fun! Then there's the room itself; it's quite spacious with a balcony. Besides the main bed, there's also a sofa bed, which my child absolutely loved. We stayed for two nights. The hotel has a real resort vibe, and the beach is practically deserted, making it incredibly relaxing to enjoy the sea breeze in the evening. As for breakfast, it wasn't as bad as some reviews suggested; we thought it was pretty good with a decent variety. We tried the Eggs Benedict and omelette from their specialty egg station, and both were delicious. It's true there aren't many restaurants or shops nearby, so we stocked up on supplies at a convenience store on the way. We had dinner at the hotel, and the prices were actually quite reasonable. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Langkawi!
