Hotels near Typhoon Pavilion, Langkawi

Front desk service is excellent, efficient, full of smiles, I couldn't ask for more. However the sea view I got was one that came with two rows of sandbags and iron bridge on a stretch of beach that's without lounge chairs and definitely not suitable for swimming. The chalet's design is pretty old evident from the window lock and balcony door lock. Set dinner at Spice Market was out of this world! Must try! There are two restaurants available for hotel breakfast every morning and you can visit both every day. Housekeeping was really slow, I hope they can increase staff efficiency in this department since they even forgot to include a hair dryer for me in the room and I had to call to ask for one. I hereby include a picture of their hairdryer, I'm surprised a 4 digits per night hotel offers such a tiny hairdryer. I wasn't expecting Dyson but this is just wow. anyway, allow me to repeat, front desk staff was fabulous!

Had a pleasant stay here at Lavigo Resort. Close to Chenang and other attractions. Relaxing, clean, beautiful and peaceful place, provided if the visitors are following the house rules ie: loud noise, speakers, party drinks, food & beverages at the pool. We did found a beer bottle cap in the adult pool, meaning there is/are visitors who didn't care about the house rules, who should stay somewhere else. We stayed 3D2N in a superior triple room. Room & bathroom are clean. Complete with toiletries, towels, kettle, coffee, cups, hairdryer, tv, mini fridge. In the exterior; swings and pondoks with hammock in each of them. Clean, good-sized pools for adult and kids (with floats and balls for them to play). Had a chance to meet with its kind and friendly owner and housekeeper. This is so much more than a 2-star resort could offer.

RWL is always our preference when we travel to langkawi for Short Vacation. The location are perfect which not far from Airport and Pantai Cenang. The most we like is about the Sea View Room with balcony. We can spend our time for chatting and sunrise with in the morning. Is worth to stay with this property!

The location of the hotel is perfect for travellers who like to stay by the beach and experience a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach is a hop skip and jump away and also has direct access from the hotel room. All sight seeing locations are equidistant and easily reachable. Added advantage is its proximity to the airport. The hotel staff are kind, friendly and cheerful. There was a slight confusion with my room allocation, but it was swiftly managed by the reception staff who upgraded me to a room with sea view. The swimming pool is clean and well maintained. The hotel did offer only breakfast in its restaurant. It would have been an added advantage if they had a fully functional kitchen as it is hard to find food (especially for a vegetarian) close by.

Very new place, ideal for families as the rooms have plenty of beds and pull out mattress. Swimming pool just outside the room. Essentially quiet place with nice clean air feeling. Instagram worthy place esp at night with all the neon lights. You have personal parking lot infront of your unit if you book the family size multi bedroom unit. Bonus, there's an amazing pizza (its a small shack but the guy is trained in italy and makes a mean chili oil for your pizza crust) place very nearby and the Dream Forest is nearby also. Definitely coming back here soon.

Don't be fooled by the 4.5 rating, because I certainly was! The only thing this hotel offers is big rooms! And not much else! The location is a big disadvantage, because all the main attractions are far away. You would either have to get a taxi every time, or rent a car or scooter. Car is better because of the distances, but it's more expensive. We were very happy that the hotel offers scooter rentals. However, sometimes the scooters are all in use, so then you're stuck. We were only able to get a scooter from our second day at the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Back to the rooms - they had white lighting, which is a bit tasteless and makes it a bit too casual. You can fix that with the bedside lamps, though. The rooms also have mini fridges, which is always a plus point. My main issue was the bathroom; the placement / height of the wash basin, with the tiny shelf directly on top of the faucet - barely giving any space in between - was VERY uncomfortable to use. There is a normal way in which things are meant to be positioned, but this was completely absurd. The toilet and shower were all *one* area, albeit big. No boundaries, no borders, no cut-off point separating the two. So when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet - and stays that way. I wouldn't have minded, had they provided wipers. The toilet paper was not great quality, and its holder was worse - when trying to put the roll in, it broke in the first instance. The toilet seat was slightly flimsy. The shower pressure was good, but the water not as hot as desired - despite keeping the geyser on the whole time. There was no proper space to keep things like shampoo. Breakfast: They have the shortest breakfast timings I've seen at any hotel 😂, namely 8am-10am (two hours). It is served inside the room. They give us a choice from four local items (from which we have to choose *one* for each day), plus toast & butter/jam, plus tea or coffee. We have to make the tea/coffee ourselves with the kettle in our room. They already apply the butter/jam on the toast for you, which is good for lazy people like me. And it was quite tasty! The local items were okay; it varies from palate to palate, whether one would like them or not. I liked three out of four, though they were quite oily. All that said, it was THE most basic breakfast I've ever had at any hotel. It only works as a preventive measure from going crazy with hunger right when you get up in the morning 😂 Speaking of food - because of the location of the place, there are no restaurants you can get to by foot (as far as I know), and even GrabFood Delivery had very limited options (we survived on ordering McDonalds for lunch). One good thing was that, unlike other hotels, there was a water dispenser in the lobby, free to use whenever we wanted. Hence, we never ran out of water. I always choose this hotel in langkawi as it is nearby my kids boarding school. Plenty of parking space. And near to the mall. Food is reasonably priced, considering this is a hotel. We booked seaview room and the sunset view are amazing!

Managed to checkin at 2pm, room 409 with side view to Baron Hotel and dogs shelter which noisy when they barking all the time. However twinbed room is spacious. Tv channel is limited with no movie. Found ants on coffee counter & lights always on unless to switch off master.

Very peaceful and huge room, clean and quiet.especially boss and manager are very kind, other staffs work hard to keep garden and swimming pool clean and clear. Like to rent one month and far away noisey and crowded places

This time is Reality where everyone can visit here, right here this place. Imagineable and heaven made. Beautiful, Miracle, Unbelievable. Overall is amazing and satisfaction. Yes for me. Pool It's open and public we to swim, it's really relaxing and plus music surround the pool, safe. Room Convenience all equipment provides, comfortable bed, fantasy heaven view, love it indeed.
