Hotels .com let me book at a hotel that did not have any rooms. I had to beg them to clean a room so i could stay 1 night, they were booked up for another night.i will not use ********** again.

Front desk staff was too busy with personal matters on their cell phones to help guests, took forever just to check in. Our room’s bed didn’t have sheets on it when we arrived and the floor was so dirty it caused the bottom of my white socks to turn black. A different staff member brought us sheets, that we put on the bed ourselves. Walls were paper thin so you could hear anything and everything all the time.

Had standing water in the bathroom several days, and maintenance could not figure it out, manager was very rude when we checked in because our room wasn’t cleaned yet. And she thought we were there before check because her clock wasn’t set forward (daylight saving time I’m guessing )and I said to her I don’t like how your talking to me, after she told me to sit down in the lobby til my room was ready ( rudely). After I said I don’t like how you’re talking to me she said I’m the general manager and you can go to another hotel. We had one towel in our room, and they were out of clean ones each time I asked. We left after 4 days, and at 9 am the manager won’t not come out to check us out, it wasn’t during normal business hours. It was not a good experience, hopefully they get better, the maintenance said it was a fairly new hotel. Maybe they will get in a better rhythm of laundry, guest interactions, and maintenance investigate of issues. The maintenance man was kind, and very apologetic for the issues of the water pooling up.

My adult children had no shower curtain or blankets/bedspread. There was not enough staff to accommodate all the guests. The one that was there was very friendly but frazzled.

The rooms were very clean and property was well maintained. I booked for MSU graduation in January and it was the only property available in my price range for the time frame I needed. What I did not realize is that it is an extended stay property. So I was very surprised to find a small kitchenette in the room (small fridge/freezer, microwave, small glass cooktop, no dishes,etc) but also no blowdryer, ice bucket/machine or small coffee maker or dining amenities other than 2 vending machines. There was one bath towel and one washrag but no handtowel. There was an extra surcharge for more towels, etc so I did pick up some very cheap washrags and a handtowel at the nearby Walmart. One small plastic cup which I did fill with water and place in fridge for cold water. It was quiet for the most part and looks like it accommodated the extended stay clientele nicely but it you are looking for a hotel with a few more amenities this is not it. There is a Starbucks within a mile for coffee runs and a nice mall nearby as well as Walmart/Sams. Culvers is in the mall and they have great ice cream. I probably would have still booked this due to the availability but it wasn't clear that it was an extended stay facility in the limited matches I received for the dates I entered and I would have packed a blow dryer.

The hotel was very clean. The lady at the desk was pleasant. She even called when I got to the room to make sure everything was OK. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the walls are thin and I could hear everything and I do mean EVERYTHING from the people in the next room. They kept me up all night moaning and the headboard hitting my wall. I didn’t get much sleep and had a big exam the next morning.

This was graduation weekend in East Lansing Michigan for Michigan State University. We purposely arrived to attempt minimal wait for check in as the area is full to bursting with families. My son waited 53 minutes to check in-MOST of that time with absolutely no one at the counter. Many others were told upon check in that their rooms were not ready at 5:00pm in the afternoon. I understand being short staffed but it is confusing that an establishment would be so woefully understaffed on what may be the busiest weekend of the year for that location.

The hotel room floor was so dusty and dirty that our socks turned black in 2 minutes. we had to clean it ourselves. In the 3 weeks we were there our room was never cleaned or linens changed. They say they clean every other week but not even once. Towels are stained. It’s an extended stay hotel with a full kitchen but NO dishes, silverware, pots and pans or cups. You have to bring your own or buy which defeats the purpose of having a kitchen at all!! Hotel is new and facilities are nice which had great potential but we were very very disappointed!!! Never again.
