家庭間空間很大，有兩張上下鋪，一樓有餐廳，有小童玩具、象棋，負一樓有公共冰箱可以臨時存放下食品，步行五分鐘有温泉

Stayed for one night here and was very pleased with the room and meal at the onsite bistro. My room overlooked the lake and included a private shower and toilet. Ate dinner at the bistro. Service was friendly and quick. I had a delicious chicken salad. Plenty of parking available.

A unique and charming guesthouse - it’s a converted old schoolhouse. A number of common areas to relax/enjoy - be it to play board games, pool, read, chat, play music, etc. The bistro /dining offers a hearty dinner and breakfast, but there is also a separate kitchen (on the lower floor) guests can use to prepare their own meals (fridge available also). We stayed in a family room with shared bathroom - this wasn’t an issue at all and I knew this upon booking. I am not sure if other rooms also have shared bathrooms. We had a hard time getting to sleep as the available (sheer) curtains did not block the sunlight. Within easy walking distance to the Fontana Spa.

We didn’t stay at the hostel, but we were staying nearby and went for dinner one night, and went back the next night after dinner for a drink. Thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The staff were superb, really lovely and welcoming and happy to chat. The food was really tasty and good value, generous portions. The style of food was quite wholesome local food, and although the menu was small, they were careful to have options to suit a range of tastes (vegan, fish, meat). The place was comfortable and the dining room had great views over the lake. Highly recommended!

Lovely quirky guesthouse right next to Laugarvatn Fontana. The blonde girl at reception and for breakfast was particularly nice and friendly. There was good choice for breakfast and the fresh bread was great.

Well appointed, with magnificent interior decorating and kind and benevolent staff. This place is beautifully situated and you awake to the birds singing. Spotlessly clean and spacious we were impressed

This old school house was perfectly located near the Fontana thermal baths, Linden Restaurant, and the beautiful lake. Facilities are clean and quiet. Exploring the grounds is quite interesting as well. There are old record players, school supplies, photos, baby carriages, etc. on display. Breakfast was great as well!

Booked on recommendation of a friend. Well worth it especially if you have private bathroom. Quiet, beautiful, Northern Lights. Such a chilled atmosphere with wonderful staff. Go for a wander at night and enjoy the lake.
