Well located property in the hear of Launceston CBD. Rooms are comfortable, simple but dated. Some lower floors have older bathrooms which have shower head and bathtub overdue for repair, but higher floors have new bathrooms which are nicer and more comfortable. Close to attractions- A must visit is the Cataract Gorge site located a short drive just outside Launceston CBD. Car parking on site which is convenient.

Overall service and experience was good. Old hotel but well-maintained. Only downside to this hotel room is the sound proofing. It’s really bad and we can hear talking and all kinds of sounds from neighbouring rooms every night.

The location is good and close to everything.

It's the second time I have stayed in this hotel friendly staff accept the assumption that I had covid 19 because I got room service. Wish they had a gym.. plenty of parking, wifi is good, Avis on sight very handy.

We were a bit disappointed with the room, no tea/coffee making, no mini fridge, and we had to pay for water? The bed was not very comfortable too, breakfast wasn’t included and cost us $60, a lot of money for some cereal and tea

Certainly my preferred choice of accommodation the next time I visit Hobart! Exemplary service from dedicated staff members, stunning views of Mount Wellington/the harbour, clean guest rooms with excellent amenities and good wifi connection, and convenient location. I couldn't ask for more.

I would say it is the best hotel in Launceston. Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston has a very good location which is the walking distance to restaurant. Rooms are clean and tidy. Waiters and Services are very good, always smile to you. We have high tea at the hotel restaurant. The scones are delicious. I would recommend my friend to stay there if they travel to Launceston.

Nice location and clean room

We had a kingsize Executive style room. Great location close to restaurants. Hotel foyer has a bar and restaurant. If you have a car, parking was $6 extra per night. Would recommend hotel to all.

A very good local hotel. It's really a big hotel. The rooms are big and much better than motel. The price/performance ratio is very high and there are no chain hotels in Launceston, so this is a very good choice!

The room is older but clean, the location is good, the price/performance ratio is good, and parking is convenient

Launceston feels like a quiet city. When you wake up early, you will see people running in the morning. The hotel is located in the urban area and has a good location. There is a park when you turn right when you go out. When you go out, turn left and there is a post office. The room decoration is a bit old, the bathroom is okay, overall I'm satisfied!
