As good as ever, definitely the number one hotel in Lausanne. It has no shortcomings except that it is expensive. Although the hotel is old, it is very well maintained and every detail is in place.

The room layout is warm, elegant and comfortable! The hotel has complete facilities and good services! The spa is a highlight!

This is our 9-night stay in Switzerland and we have stayed in 6 hotels. This is the best hotel. It is magnificent and beautiful, and it really lives up to its name of "Palace". The hotel is in a good location, close to surrounding attractions, making it easy to go out for a stroll in the morning or evening.

Ancient castle level picturesque scenery

I have been to many hotels in different countries, and Migan Palace is the one with the best service experience, old fashion style, highly recommended! The breakfast quality is super high, and the swimming pool and SPA are top-notch! The hotel has its own Michelin French food. Be sure to book a lake view room!

The hotel environment is great! want to go again

If you love a large resort with on site restaurants, etc then this is for you. If you prefer a more personalized experience with a boutique feel that’s in the heart of a city, this hotel is not for you. We are in the latter category, unfortunately. The high points - the view from our room (which was upgraded at arrival thanks to booking through a travel agent) was spectacular - we could see the alps and across to France! Breakfast was a big spread with pretty much anything you could want. Rooms were quite high tech and had lovely finishes. It’s historic and a beautiful building. While we were there a tv crew was shooting too. The misses - the room was small compared to our room in a Geneva hotel and we were squeezed in comparatively. The hotel layout required us to walk a lot just to get to the lobby or to go out of the hotel and walk along the lake. You walk by conference rooms and shops. So it feels very resort-y. We don’t mind walking - we love it - but walking around the hotel looking for exits and getting to the places you want to see is not ideal. The location is in Ouchy - so you are right on the lake which is lovely, but you are not in town. You need to walk a little bit to get to the subway and get to the main city. The onsite restaurants are just ok. Not anything memorable. We tried the Cafe for a special dinner that was fine. And the sushi restaurant was also fine. Nothing special. The concierge did not have great suggestions for us either - they were pretty negative about the weather outlook for our day trip to montreux. I know weather is challenging to predict there, but we would’ve loved some more recommendations for hiking. We figured it out ourselves and had a beautiful day to boot! (As a side note, I think our best meal in Lausanne was actually a cafe just across from the town hall - the pizza was delightful). Will we be back? Probably not. It’s not a bad hotel, just maybe not for us or others who prefer a smaller hotel environment.

We had the best rooms, which were upgraded with a lake view 🥰 Also I had so special present upon arrival from the hotel, such an enormous gesture! ♥️ I am traveling a lot and visiting a lot of five star hotels, and I should admit, that so far I had one of the best experiences ever in Switzerland , so many highlights! 🔝

Amazing service and beautiful property. The room cleaning service was amazing and went above and beyond. The checkin desk workers were helpful and accommodating. The equipment rental team were polite, helpful and proficient.
