I needed somewhere to stay that was near to the Telford International Centre for a weekend event. This hotel was about a 20-minute walk away, through the main shopping centre (much to my teenage daughter's delight!). The room itself was typical for a Premier Inn. I stayed in a 2-bed family room (1x king, 1x single bed). The only thing that would have helped would have been to have more than one plug socket accessible for charging from the head-end of the bed. I prefer to have my phone next to me on the bedside table overnight, but there was only one plug, so my daughter and I had to do rock/paper/scissors (which I lost), so my phone was on the other side of the room overnight. There were plenty of sockets on the other side though, so maybe I am being overly picky? Facilities were as you expect, clean and straightforward. The window did open a small amount, which was nice as some hotels have windows that don't open, so that was a bonus. This hotel allows early check-in, and the lady who checked us in was really helpful in switching the rooms around so that we could check in at 11am (the earliest), even though the room we were initially pencilled-in for wasn't quite ready. We were also offered bottled water and the option to take whatever fruit we wanted from a bowl in the reception area, which was a nice touch that you don't normally get from a travel inn. I have dropped a star simply because for a travel inn I thought it was quite expensive for the night. There is a Beefeater right next door, but we didn't eat or drink there, so can't really comment on whether that is any good. The staff were both professional and friendly, which always makes a stay a positive experience. The staff deserve 5-stars, I just felt it was a bit pricey for a travel inn.
