Needed to find a place to stay on the fly and stopped here inside the Illinois/Iowa line. I had stopped earlier inside Illinois and had decided to move on. I was taken with the riverside and stopped here. Wasn’t sure I was going to find a room but Michelle was very helpful and kind in not only finding a room but helped find a cheaper rate as well as putting us on the riverside which my wife was hoping for! I wasn’t able to find a room with a balcony but the view from our window was indeed beautiful. The room was large, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast was standard but good. I couldn’t say enough nice things about this hotel and Michelle particularly! Will definately return when in the area!

Excellent choice! This was the top recommended hotel by the locals we asked. We were very pleased with every aspect of this facility. The grounds were nicely kept. The view was wonderful. We had a balcony room overlooking the river and it was great. There were no issues or problems with the room. It was quiet and very comfortable.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We had a balcony room on the second floor with a wonderful river view. The room was very clean and updated. The room was big - with a large seating area with an L shaped sofa separate from the bed. The trains were not a problem at all. There is a road that goes along the river that we were able to take some nice walks. The staff were all very friendly and able to answer any questions we had. The free breakfast was great. Pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, oatmeal and more! The pool area was nice and clean. The hot tub was okay, just wish the jets were stronger. We loved the balcony. It was a nice size - I was even able to do my early morning yoga on the balcony. With the beautiful cool weather and the view it was so calming. We will definitely be back.
