Hotel Hafenspeicher

In sehr schöner Lage am Wasser, schöne Bar und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Die Zimmer (in meinem Fall zur Wasserseite) sind geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Etwas ungewöhnlich ist der Aufzug. Die Bedientasten sind am hinteren Ende des Aufzugs, man muss immer komplett durchgehen, um etwa die Tür zu schliessen bzw. die Etage zu markieren.

Very friendly staff, free parking, everything was great!

The hotel has very good press, and the reservation was made with confidence. Although technically it is a good hotel, very well located in the city in a former warehouse, close to the shopping streets, nothing really happened as expected. The room obtained was beautiful, not very large, with a fairly small window overlooking the river; well equipped, a desk, free minibar (one still water, one sparkling water, one soda, one diet soda, one alcoholic beer one without), very neat and clean shower room. The fairly high price includes not very practical wifi - you have to reconnect every day - and an average breakfast for a four star, with very dry scrambled eggs, but with a very good choice of breads. The problem lies in the radical health policy displayed by the house, which, encouraged - more than really constrained - by the local authorities, adds to the fact of having to be vaccinated or reestablished a collection of constraints which seemed archaic and ideological to me: wear a mask for a few steps in a lobby with 4 meters ceilings, or to cross the restaurant where we will otherwise have a large and noisy conversation does not make sense and is not defensible. Worse, the staff grants themselves the right to make unpleasant remarks in this regard: in all the places visited in recent months, even in the event of a theoretical constraint of this kind, the staff was understanding and never tried to do so. the police by infantilizing customers. Departure therefore after only one night, with an understanding attitude from the management who granted a refund for the last and third night. A place to forget while waiting for Germany to become the liberal state it once was.

I had a large, beautifully furnished room with a view of the car park behind the hotel. Very quiet! The breakfast was excellent. There is also a free tea time with cake. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect!

The Hafenspeicher is a great hotel that deserves its 4* rating. The reception, the facilities, the service, the "Classic Hafenblick" room with a lovely ambience and a view of the Leda, everything was top notch. However, the same building houses the Pier23 restaurant with outdoor dining until midnight and a play street where anyone with a car or motorcycle with a high-horsepower engine, loud audio system or manipulated exhaust system can show off. So: either join in the party or get a room without a view of the Leda. PS: If the hotel were to eliminate these two points, a 4+/4S would be justified.

Chic hotel with modern comfort in a successfully converted harbor warehouse from the 19th century. Spacious, well-equipped rooms with a great view of the leisure harbor and parts of Leer's old town, which can be reached in a few minutes on foot. Friendly and attentive staff. Very good and extensive breakfast buffet, well-attended bar. Excellent restaurant Pier23 in the same building. Free parking directly at the hotel. The only disadvantage: Due to the large number of tour bus groups, it was a bit crowded at breakfast at times.

On our way to the East Frisian Islands we spent three nights at the Hotel Hafenspeicher and our expectations were exceeded. The location on the water is unique. The house is very comfortably furnished and the staff is very attentive. We would definitely like to come back here!

Good breakfast and afternoon coffee and cake buffet for hotel guests, oversized beds, large, spacious rooms with rain shower, free minibar, kettle with coffee/tea. My urgent tip: book with a harbor view - worth every cent! Floor-to-ceiling windows make even sitting around in the room an experience.
