Philippos Hotel Apartments

These apartments are very nice, rooms well looked after, George very caring and couldn't do enough for us. Only problem was the mosquitoes, so take plenty of stuff with you . When we left for a walk there wasn't any tavernas or restaurants near complex only a bakery, you had to walk to the resort where there is only 5 restaurants and 1 Greek one, no tavernas on main drag only a few snack and coffee shops, the resort is very big,but scenery amazing. Biggest problem is the road it is horrendous, no footpath only small selection which was concrete path and the white lines faded , some of drivers drove very close to you and a lot on there mobiles, there are big lorries trucks etc etc , 24/7 .If your room was at the front you would here the traffic all night,we went September dread to think what it's like in peak time, a couple of times when we had been for a meal and it was dark a section of the road wasn't lit, very scary, In the end we stopped going out in an evening just had a early meal before it went dark, This is not safe for children beaches are not sandy ,either pebbles or shingles.not a lot to do for children .

This is a lovely complex run by the very welcoming George. We had a top floor apartment that was roomy with a huge balcony. It is a few minutes from the pebble beach and about 15 minutes walk into Nikiana which has a variety of restaurants. The furthest away in the harbour is very traditional, serving reasonably priced and excellent food. Friendly staff and great atmosphere too. My tip is to buy some rubber slip-on shoes in Lefkada Town to protect your feet from the difficult to walk on pebbles.

Renting an apartment from Philippos Hotel Apartments was great. The rooms contained everything you need on a holiday and were cleaned everyday. Location was good, because it’s near a beach, Lefkada city and Nydri. The hospitality of the owner Giorgios was also great. He gave us some hints on what to do in Lefkada.

We decided to return here after such an enjoyable holiday the year before ! First time we have ever done this, and we had an even better stay this time around! We had a different room this time which was great, as it had four smaller balconies! Super clean with daily housekeeping as usual by the fantastic staff. The thing that sets it apart is the hospitality and willingness to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible without being intrusive. Georges is always on hand if you need anything or just for a chat in my case! one example, we wanted to watch the football in the apartment but hadn’t eaten so he gave us a menu leaflet for a local food outlet. He even ordered the food for us and had it delivered to our apartment! The rooms have everything you need kettle, coffee machine, fridge, oven, hob and great air con! Fantastic family run complex, we love it 😊

I stayed here last week, what a find it was. On arrival, the owner George gave me so much useful information, a little map of where the bakery was, bus stops for Lefkada and Nadri, times of the buses, WiFi code which had excellent reception, extra tablets for the mosquito plug in. Showed me to my studio and explained how everything worked. The rooms are cleaned to an exceptional standard with bedding and towel changes every couple of days. Thank you, Christina. The beach is just a short stroll across from the apartments. It is a pebble beach and nice and relaxing. Take water shoes with you. There is a wee truck there that you can get sandwichs, toasties, and refreshments. Hire sunbeds and umbrella. The cost for 2 x beds and an umbrella was 12 euros, and they opened at 9 am. There are plenty of supermarkets in Nikiana, lots of good produce. These are about a 10-minute walk away. The restaurants at the marina are delightful and had some excellent meals out. George's mama tends to the gardens, and they are amazing, just full of life. She also invited me to have a glass of her homemade cherry water, delicious and so kind of her to do so. I adored this place and can't wait to go back. I had such a relaxing holiday and came home fully relaxed. The main road runs beside the path and pavements that lead to you to the marina area. They are well lit the whole way back. Highly recommend this charming apartments. Thank you for making my holiday 💕
