Clean, efficient, simple room with refrigerator, coffee. Close to Tanglewood, Lenox, Stockbridge and Pittsfield. Hotel owner very accommodating. Good location across from Kohl's shopping center with Marshall's a supermarket and Verizon store.

Unfortunately I did not read the reviews prior to booking. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. When I complained, they said it was some sort of cleaner that smelled so bad. Ended up sleeping in the car because they claimed there were no other rooms available.

Needs a lot of TLC. My room had a smell of mold, and I think it was coming from the bathroom. I had been to Wagon Wheel 40 years ago when I was visiting Tanglewood and it was a pleasant and clean room on a not-busy highway on the Lee/Pittsfield border. In the today of 2024, it has deteriorated in quality and needs some serious cleaning and updating. It's location if fabulous if you want to be close to big box stores and groceries and Lenox and all that the geographical area offers. That's it's MAIN benefit. But do be prepared for some unsavory smells and alot of dust in the room. Not for the allergic person.

Stay away from this place.Overpriced rooms WITH NO RUNNING WATER last night when I arrived after the Tanglewood concert at about 11 PM. Owner had been trying to get water restored all day. She should have let clients know because she told me she knew by noon it wouldn't be until the next day.A woman staying there showed up at the Office to say to me "if you stay here don't try to flush the toilets".. no shower etc. It was so bad I decided to drive back to Boston even though I would arrive after 1 AM. Better than taying in this awful place. Just a terrible experience.

We booked a room for one night expecting modest accommodations. However, we did not expect: the mini-refrigerator door to be detached and come off in our hands when opening it; a partially consumed cola left inside it; two pairs of dirty socks left in the nightstand drawer; multiple bathroom fixtures falling off their respective walls; mattresses that felt like they were packed with straw (literally) and sloping preventing a decent night’s sleep; broken curtains rods precluding their complete (and necessary) closing. In addition, management and staff, while pleasant on checkin, were MIA the following morning. If management would like to refund our money we will gladly accept.

I booked this place thinking a small privately owned motel is a business model I would like to support. The room needs a lot of work, dust hanging from ceiling, dirty pillow cases, I use cleaner towels for shop rags. Wifi is pitiful. Owners are friendly enough. My booking priority is cleanliness and safety. Also poor wifi is a hard fail in 2022

I expected a very tidy motel room, dated but cheery enough for a two night stay to Tanglewood. We expected the price to jump up over the holiday weekend. It did - $189 per night before taxes. Tonight, two days after, the price is $59 per night. That price is about right. Here’s the rundown: Bed linens very clean and bed firm but very comfortable. Array of pillows that were comfortable. Shower pressure excellent and bathroom very clean but needed painting or wall washing. A very dark room, dark 1970s brown colors and gritty rug that could use thorough cleaning. Room smelled fine and A/C was powerful and drowned out the street noise and the other customers, who partied on the front walkway in front of their rooms but did quiet down around 12:00 a.m. (or I fell asleep, not sure which). In all fairness, it was a long weekend and it is a motel. I found I did not want to spend one extra moment in the room, which was pretty spacious and had a small loveseat and great big TV, but one window that had to stay covered with curtains. And did I say dark? No natural light. Artificial light was difficult for longer periods. Also, we had a heart shaped jacuzzi which was a hoot and we found pretty relaxing. Stay one night, in and out, but if you are going to pay dough anyway like we did, and staying for a couple of days, upgrade and spring for another place. I agree with the dust bunnies on the ceiling. Everything else was clean enough for a pass through stay.

My husband and I just needed a place to stay for the night. We were getting in late and leaving early. We wished we had read the reviews. This inn is in serious need of a deep cleaning, paint and updating. The toilet paper roll had no holder in it. The soap dish was falling of the wall. The walls, doors and ceiling were covered in dirt, filth, finger prints and cob webs. I would not stay here again.

THE LOCATION If you’re a skier this is a great location. Bousquet Ski Area is 5 minutes away, Catamount, Butternut, and Jiminy Peak are each about 30 minutes, and Berkshire East is less than an hour. There are also several grocery stores, restaurants, fast food outlets, and gas stations conveniently nearby, some within walking distance. A number of towns in the Berkshire Mountains with quaint, attractive, New England style historic centers for strolling, shopping and dining, such as Stockbridge and Great Barrington, are within a short drive. Pittsfield Municipal Airport is only 5 minutes away, and the larger town of Pittsfield itself, with more services available, is only 10 minutes. THE PROPERTY What do you want in a value motel? Low prices, comfortable beds, clean rooms, clean sheets & towels, working appliances (microwave & mini-fridge), friendly staff, convenient parking, and a safe neighborhood. This motel checks all those boxes. We’re less concerned about the cosmetic aspects of the place, because updating everything to make it look nice and “new” will mean they have to raise prices to pay for it. And we’re just going to be sleeping there, not living there. THE HOST(S) It’s owned by a friendly, enterprising immigrant family working hard to achieve the American Dream for them and their kids. So it feels good to patronize their business. THE BOTTOM LINE We look forward to staying there again in the future.
