Decided a few hours before leaving to book an extended weekend out of NYC and so happy we did! With little to no research done ahead of the stay, we exclusively booked the hotel from a random picture we stumbled upon of the lobby. It had reminded us of a cabin we stayed at in the Catskills and just went with it! 4 days and 3 nights later we had no regrets!
The front desk staff were warm and extremely welcoming, including the amazing General Manager, Alex.
Due to the spontaneity of our trip, he took time to let us know what the area had to offer and even suggested the best restaurants for our pescetarian needs.
The lobby was nice, clean and the ambiance really set the mood. We immediately went to the bar and ordered lunch :mushroom ravioli, butternut squash and apple soup and the best kale salad. Chefs kiss -- I truly need that mushroom ravioli recipe.
The bartender was very kind and attentive.
We had a room located on the 2nd floor with a king bed. We loved that the TV had streaming apps, the mini fridge was stocked and snacks were available in the room.
We could tell the property had been recently renovated and loved that it came with plush robes and umbrellas if you needed for the weather.
The shower water was extremely HOT like I like it (LOL) and the thermostat regulated the temperature perfectly. I just wished that it was not so loud but we did not spend much time in the room so it was okay.
Thank you Life House for a great stay. Hoping to visit in the future
