Overall nice hotel, ok reception, BUT the employees seemed forced to be untruthful when it came to whether or not the A/C worked. The window to one of our rooms was open upon our arrival and the so called A/C or ventilation system had to be turned on. It started, but there was no cool air. We were offered to change rooms and embarked upon a wild goose chase trying to find a cooler room on the floor below. The window in the new room was also wide open, letting in the hot outside air. The A/C did not work there either so we stayed in the original rooms. Large rooms and large bathrooms. The shower was a bit small for the size of the bathroom and the shower door in one room was very creaky. The employees tried hard, but the management was clearly lacking.

This hotel is a 3 star and it seems so in its facilities and rooms. The room is smaller and the bathroom, also smaller in my case, had a column in the middle that was a bit uncomfortable to access the shower (not a bathtub, which is appreciated). Functional furniture, used, but correct and without major wear and tear or lack of maintenance. Breakfast with acceptable variety. The staff is the best of the hotel, both at reception and in the cafeteria, as well as the cleaning ladies, all doing their thing and very attentive to the customer. The location is ideal for walking to the center in a few minutes. All this makes it a highly recommended 3*, without expecting great facilities or anything special, but perfect for working in Leon or for a getaway and being in good comfort without more.

This hotel was really good with fabulous attentive staff. Large bedroom, comfortable bed, super bathroom and very clean. Outstanding breakfast and good cafe style dinner. Ten euros taxi ride into City. Good parking. Highly recommended

the hotel is very well located, close to the Cathedral and main places to visit in Leon, but the best is the staff, very professional and kind. The rooms are nice, clean and confortable!!! Tripadvisor should reduce the requirement of 200 characters! that's too much for free!!!!!

Very quaint hotel with exposed beams and brick wall. The room was not entirely square which is somewhat charming. I was staying alone in room 104 which was perfectly adequate but if my suitcase had been any bigger there would've been no place to open it. As it was I had to Tuck it partly under the bed to get the Refrigerator door open. not only do the steps squeak - The floor squeaks and you can hear the plumbing. I had no problem sleeping with Street sounds or the squeak sounds i would still recommend it for the atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and you could order what you wanted for breakfast the night before. It's very centrally located so you can come and go if you're visiting the cathedral etc. That was handy for me on a rainy day.

stayed there with family for two nights, perfect location for strolling around the city and enjoying what Leon has to offer hotel has an interesting interior and has decent offering of food, as a tea drinker would prefer some better options at breakfast overall satisfied

We have been sightseeing in the area and reserved this Melia with great expectations. I’m afraid Mr Escarrer would be a bit disappointed. On the plus side, the receptionists were really friendly and attentive, with the right helpful attitude. We could say the same about the staff in the cafeteria. The downside was the quality of the food in the cafeteria/bar/restaurant. Frozen chips in a Melia? The chicken fingers to pick at seemed to be a chicken escalope sliced and refried, making it dry and tasteless. Perhaps the menu ought to be relooked at because the premises are really nice. The room was fine although having to go to a vending machine in the lobby to get your minibar products kind of defeats the purpose of a minibar in the room. Breakfast was adequate although not what you expect from a hotel advertised as a Melia affiliate. All on all, a “pass” thanks to the staff.

To find the Exe Hotel in Leon, aim for the large downtown El Corte Ingles store – then it's right across the street. Bright and modern, sharp and clean, extremely well appointed bedrooms (ours came with a fairly enormous sitting-room) and spacious bathrooms. All a city hotel should be. Parking is available in the large carpark below, with direct access to the hotel, and it's a ten minute walk into the city centre. Exceptionally helpful staff at reception, ready to dispense local information.

Very unimpressed with this AC Marriott property. Arrived on a Friday after a very hard week. Staff has been very hands off. Bathroom is outdated and below par. The worst of the worst was no food service, no room service, and basically no service on the weekends. Their restaurant is closed Fri, Sat, and Sun. Very disappointing after walking all day and expecting to enjoy a nice evening in my room. I’d pass on this property and spend your euros elsewhere. Done with Marriott in Europe after a several bad stays.

GGuest UserWhat a great hotel, full of history, with a not to be missed museum and ancient convent next door. The Parador is a renovation of the sixteenth-century Monastery-Hospital of San Marcos for pilgrims walking the Camino Frances, and is one of the most important monuments of the Spanish Renaissance. Our room was in the renovated part overlooking the Plaza de San Marcos. It had a spectacular view, and was quiet, spacious, charming, and luxurious. The art in the common areas is impressive as are the exposed excavations of the ancient hospital and earlier dwellings. A great place to stay for a last night of comfort if you are planning on starting your Camino in Leon. It is located right on The Way with a monument to the pilgrim right out the front door.

GGuest UserLlegamos sobre las 12:30 y por suerte ya teníamos la habitación preparada. El hotel es bonito y está muy bien ubicado. Tiene un parking grande y gratis. La recepcionista que nos atendió súper amable, nos explicó como funcionaba el hotel y además nos explicó que ver y por donde movernos por Astorga. Ageadecer también al hotel el detalle de darnos una habitación superior a la que habíamos contratado. Seguro volveremos.

GGuest UserA very nice hotel in a good location, approx a 15 min walk to the centre. Room clean and comfortable. It was disappointing that the bar/snack bar was not operational due to the coffee machine being out of order and reception had no idea when it would be repaired, we stayed for three nights but it was out of order for the whole of our stay. The breakfast room was bright & airy with friendly staff and a reasonable selection of food. An enjoyable stay.

GGuest UserNuestra experiencia no fue mala de un inicio. Nos atendieron muy bien, nos explicaron que el ascensor por ser el edificio estructura antigua llegaba hasta medias alturas.. algo que no nos importó aún llevando carrito de niño. Era asumible por la situación y precio. Una vez descargado el equipaje e instalados en la habitación, escuchamos una música que salía de una puerta situada al lado de la puerta de nuestro baño. Cuando el vecino habló con su compañera, es como si estuviera dentro de nuestra habitación. Compartimos todo tipo de ruidos, música, conversaciones, gases... ronquidos... llamamos al teléfono de contacto para solicitar cambio de habitación, no nos lo proporcionaron saliendo en Booking disponibilidad de dos habitaciones. Nuestro hijo de 2 años no pudo qued**** dormido hasta la madrugada y nosotros, por lo que podéis leer, tampoco. Además, la luz, se colaba también por debajo y laterales de esa puerta, por lo que teníamos a mayores luz indirecta hasta que a los vecinos se les ocurrió apagarla. Yo no contraté una habitación '' compartida'', para eso hay otro tipo de hoteles.

GGuest UserA hotel with the charm of the Templars, beautifully decorated and well-preserved. The spacious rooms are equipped with antique furniture. Rest on 10 mattresses. It is close to the center and restaurant area. The surrounding public parking lot is very convenient. The breakfast buffet is pretty good. And it's important! ! ! They know Covid very well and always follow the advice to keep everyone safe.
