We recently stayed two nights in the fabulous Ship Inn! We have stayed often over the last 22 years and it never disappoints! Our Captains room was very comfortable .. all that you would need/ expect..and more. Very smart en-suite! And the view from our room was just wonderful.. aided by the wonderful winter sun weather we had. We ate one night in the lovely upstairs restaurant and the second night in the warm cosey bar beside the fire. The menu was extensive and excellent. Breakfast was superb! It is very difficult to pick one member of staff out when the level of service was really outstanding… But a special mention is due to LizzieAnn who we encountered in various settings and she was so pleasant and helpful!

It was truly a magical stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The Inn was exactly what you would expect and more. The food was delicious. The location was beautiful and the sunsets magnificent. The rooms were quaint and very clean. I would highly recommend staying here!

Pleasant rooms with excellent en-suite facilities. Towels nice and fluffy, bedside table adequate though needs a coat of paint. Views over the beach unbeatable. Only thing that we thought could be improved was the beside lights, which could have been brighter.

The Ship is one of a kind - location, staff and atmosphere all amazing. Food isn’t the cheapest, but definitely worth the money and our room was extremely comfortable. We’ve been back every year for the last few years and don’t intend to stop anytime soon!

Warm welcome and an enjoyable stay at this beautifully located inn overlooking the beach. We had a lovely room with a view and enjoyed the public bar before having dinner in the restaurant which has a good choice of dishes and is reasonably priced. The full Scottish breakfast was excellent.

5/5 We recently stayed in the Admiral Nelson room, which has splendid view of Elie beach. The staff (especially Lauren) were just brilliant, even carrying our bags up the stairs. Nothing seemed to faze them or to be too much trouble. The food was outstanding whether it was breakfast or dinner. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Good atmosphere and excellent meals, especially the breakfasts. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, but sadly didn't have a sea view. Lovely walks along the beach and the Fife Coastal Paths. A real bit of R&R.

A brilliant Stay. Great rooms, great food, great service and the icing on the cake was the Saturday night singer (he had the place totally rocking), so altogether a great experience. We have a timeshare at Kilconquhar castle, however we banked it this year but missed our stay in Elie so much, that we decided to book the Ship Inn for a long weekend. Really glad we did.
