My friend and I stayed here for one night. The owners were really friendly and gave us a plate of delicious watermelon on arrival, they also told us where we could do a COVID test late at night and recommended a place for dinner. The location is the same as every other place in town; convenient for the park entrance and not much else. Breakfast was simple but filling and a nice added touch. The room was clean and comfortable but a bit basic. The price is high throughout the entire town but 400 yuan a night is certainly not cheap and for this price I would at least expect certain things, like a bedside lamp. The biggest issue for me was the disposable towels. I understand maybe some people like them for cleanliness and hygiene reasons but for me the experience was like trying to dry my body with an oversized tissue, not to mention how terrible they are for the environment. I’m sure if I had asked for a proper towel, the owners would have obliged, as they did with everything else, but for 400 yuan a night it’s something I would expect automatically. All this being said, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and overall we enjoyed our stay.

The owner took the initiative to bring us a lot of toiletries and asked us to use the washing machine downstairs to wash our clothes. The clothes hanging outside the balcony of the suite are accompanied by a clean fragrance. Lying on the chair and looking at the night sky, the clouds in Guizhou are a little active, and the stars are particularly dazzling. I am willing to stop time forever at that moment. The next morning, the sun shone into the lobby on the first floor. I walked down slowly from the second floor. The boss smiled and greeted me and said "Come down", turned around and went to arrange breakfast for me. I felt like I was back home thousands of miles away. I also encountered a lot of trouble when I left. For example, the boss kindly drove us to take the bus, but accidentally took the clothes in the car. For example, the clothes accidentally fell on the chair of the homestay, and contacted the boss to help send them to the next stop. I never noticed a trace of displeasure or trouble in the boss's tone. Instead, he took the initiative to help us find a solution. I didn't have any high expectations for a stranger. When I left Xiaoqikong along the Li River, I felt my heart was filled. If you also come to Xiaoqikong, you might as well stay in this homestay. Maybe you will gain something other than the scenery. You can ask the owner which scenic spot you want to visit and what route you want to take. They will arrange your route clearly and save you a lot of detours!
