The environment are great, the staff Xiao Tan provided a great service and recommendations to Lijiang attractions, great afternoon tea + bar. Room are clean and nice. Would stay here again 100%

ABSOLUTELY A GEM FIND!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! 又一居 tucked away at the end of an alley, you step into a hidden paradise where you can absolutely unwind and soak in all that yunnan has to offer. it’s a cosy abode that feels familiar and homely at every corner. the compound is big, 28 rooms and it seemed that every room had its own little nook / balcony / tea table to sit and enjoy great conversations. there are multiple courtyards, each with its own charm.. as you navigate from one courtyard to another, you can’t help but marvel at the tranquility and peace this place offers. it is extremely kid friendly. breakfast is mian xian noodles, porridge and a lovely assortment of refillable side dishes, afternoon tea is egg tarts + polo bun + americano / lychee tea. there’s a free fruit buffet everyday with a wide assortment of seasonal fruits, yoghurt, peanuts, tea, etc. there’s an on-site cafe, bakery and bar, 247 access to guest kitchen and laundry. the room was spacious, and bed was comfortable. it even has a TV with KTV function, you get to croon to 5 free songs everyday! the staff are extremely warm, and seem to genuinely love working here. they go beyond their means to help us feel comfortable, ensuring that we get the best advice (and best deal!) i’d love to give 晓黎 special mention, as she made herself available even at midnight to help us make arrangements for the next day! many thanks! 😘 the location is fantastic, as you’re nestled right in the heart of the food street running against a stream (the most photosque area of shuhe ancient town). right outside is a well know “小锅饭” restaurant that’s highly rated on meituan. the nearest pickup / drop off point would be: 束河古镇东南门 (Route to a slip road where you will see “Li Shui Yang Fang Conifer Carpark Entrance”). We arranged for luggage transfer to the hotel from this point, and easily arranged for taxi pick ups.

I love this place! Huge beautiful garden and a lot of space for relaxing, great decoration and great location. The room is nice, I got a second floor with 2 bedrooms, comfy bed and in the room have everything you need. The staff was really nice and helpful, they picked us up at the main gate and helped us with the luggage. Some of them can speak a little bit of English. Oh don't forget nice afternoon coffee and pastries, a really nice atmosphere and nice staff and owners. Highly recommended!!

Stayed here after being disappointed in Lijiang Ancient City commercial vibe. We were very happy that we did. Also my partner was unwell and they made us feel very taken care of. Probably best stay of our 3 week Chinese trip. The place is actually a compound, a former private residence which has been converted. So the vibe is unique. There’s so many awesome public spaces and a cafe attached. I highly recommend.

The room was rustic and large. There were multiple places indoor and outdoors to chill with beautiful gardens. We enjoyed spending afternoons at the garden cafe because of the cool peaceful vibe of the ducks, dogs, birds with soft music and people chattering happily in the background . All smiling staff from all departments always ensured we were satisfied. Xiao Tan assisted us from start to end in our stay from activities to dining to accommodation. It is located in the Shuhe ancient old town and staff were very helpful to assist us with our luggages right outside the old town. Restaurants and shops are conveniently located .

Xiao li and xiao tang are the best hosts, they were so welcoming and so helpful, they made our stay in shu he a fantastic experience! The homestay is beautiful, it's a traditional Chinese style home that used to be a private residence. The room was very clean and they've made alot effort to upgrade it while preserving it's traditional aspects!

I loved every minute at this hotel. The location is unbeatable in the centre of everything and absolutely calm. The staff is not accustomed to non-Chinese guests. I enjoyed even greater attention. Communication through WeChat with translation worked perfectly. They helped me to organize my day tour to the Leaping Tiger Gorge and a marvelous driver to my next destination Shaxi. 100% recommended.

After staying in this hotel for 4 days, other hotels have a very high benchmark to follow! Service and room comfort is top notch. 小谭 is an excellent customer service guy. He communicated effortlessly with my limited Chinese and helped us from before we arrived until after we left. All our transport, tours and activities in Lijiang were arranged by him. I believe that because of his high expectations from the service providers, we got the best experience (and at reasonable price too!). The room was very spacious and comfortable with 2 heaters and plenty of drinking water. I am a sensitive sleeper who cannot tolerate noise. It is very peaceful here and is only troubled by boisterous guests. The owner of this hotel is not stingy and has discerning taste. He must also be a kind man as all the staff are committed and happy to work. The only sour note are the staff manning the coffee station. They are aloof and curt, like they are helping in their father's cafe. Location is perfectly situated in the heart of the ancient city, a couple of strides and you can find food, entertainment and the beautiful canals. However, it is about 10 minutes walk to the main gate so if you are going out for tours and visiting other spots in Lijiang, make sure you save energy to walk back to the hotel at the end of the day. Also, we forgot to mark the location and got lost trying to get back. This hotel has truly elevated our holiday experience in Lijiang. Centrally located yet tucked away in a quiet alley, my stay at Another Residence was very pleasant. The staff was hospitable, breakfast was decent, and the room was clean. The courtyard and the afternoon yoga classes were the highlight of my trip. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic bed breakfast in a quieter part of lijiang. Great service, they helped us book multiple tours and private cars at a great price. Beautiful views of the mountain and wonderfully maintained courtyards. Stay comes with free coffee and dessert every day at the attached coffeeshop- probably the most beautiful cafe I’ve ever been in. 10/10 would stay here again

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at Another Residence. From the free airport pickup/dropoff to the tea tastings and staff who go above and beyond. The location is right in the heart of Shuhe old Town and our Garden room was cozy and very peaceful. The room was rustic, large and clean and we spent large parts of the day simply chilling here. There is even a dedicated tea drinking area in the room to try puer tea daily. The island bar/cafe is a beautiful setting to have breakfast or an afternoon tea by the water. There are also multiple places indoor and outdoor to brew up tea provided by the residence. We were left alone to do as we pleased but any questions were answered immediately- such as ways to find the old tea horse path. We travelled as a couple but this is a great place for groups or families wanting to soak in this peaceful environment. Hopefully we can come back soon!
