We traveled to Lijiang in January 2024 and had a chance to visit one homestay inside Lijiang Old Town and loved. We planned to go back to Lijiang again in April and were in searching for that homestay we visited last time. Unfortunately (actually fortunately), we could not find that place in any of the booking platforms. There were many homestays in Trip.com for our consideration and we narrowed down the search to 2 properties. Eventually, we decided to go for Ming He Shu Yuan – Light Luxury Tea Yun Homestay and we have never regretted we choose to stay there. Our plan was to stay for 2 nights. We then decided to reserve 2 different types of room to experience the differences. The property owner called us to make sure the bookings were correct and explained the arrangement to move our belongings from room to another. Even though it was almost dark, they were expecting us in front of the street and managed to tow our luggage on a bumpy Lijiang walkways. We were welcomed by traditional Yunnan tea and walked us to a spacious and comfortable room which was far nice than was shown in the website. The owner sister, Kongshujing, led us the way to the old town in worried of us getting lost here and there. They prepared a bag full of needed breakfast for us to be able to leave early in the morning and made sure our luggage would be moved to another room before we came back. The second night we stayed in another room type which was again higher than our expectations in all aspects. We were astonished by its nice ambient, designs, and layout of this homestay and rooms we stayed. The house was of course beautiful with nice decoration. The rooms were comfortable with homey-modern style. The furniture and bathroom accessories were well considerate and user-friendly. The automatic room control system has greatly surprised us indeed. Lastly, we enjoyed the breakfast served inside the tea room. Trillion thanks to the hospitality with every single details provided. We totally fell in love with your house and will definitely be back.

This is a gem of a hotel. The location is excellent and while located within the old town, is just a 2 min walk from a taxi pick up point. Lijiang old town is traffic free so this is not the case for many other hotels. Rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully renovated. Breakfast is home cooked and very tasty. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

The boss is very considerate. I didn’t have breakfast when I went to a tourist attraction in the morning, so he thoughtfully prepared bread and milk.

Very comfortable, the service is even better, highly recommended, will come again next time!

I came here with my friend's family. The host was very nice. On the first night, the mother and two kids were worried that we wouldn't get enough rest, so they generously gave us a room. The hotel environment is warm, clean and comfortable, with a cozy tea room. The breakfast is also exquisite and delicious. It is the best homestay we have stayed in in Lijiang. We will definitely come again next time!

The environment and atmosphere of the "Minghe Shuyuan" B&B is really great. It feels like being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making people feel peaceful and comfortable. The staff of the B&B are very good, enthusiastic and thoughtful, and they solve problems very quickly. From booking to check-in to check-out, the staff of the B&B gave me a lot of help, making me feel at home. If you want to relax in the ancient city like me, then this B&B is definitely the best choice, "Minghe Shuyuan". From the moment you step in the door, you will feel that time has slowed down... Sitting in the courtyard Bask in the sun, drink a cup of tea 🍵, chat with the boss Xiao Kong, go to the surrounding area to eat some delicious food, and go to the bar street for a drink in the evening. This kind of life is not too comfortable... 1⃣Location: Located in the ancient city, very close to Sifang Street, Lion Rock, Waterwheel, Mufu... You can eat, drink and have fun on foot. There are many small shops worth checking out, (Sakura Restaurant, Pig Pen Cafe, wait) 2⃣Environment, tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle, every part of the yard reveals the boss’s intentions, the room is full of details, I have to mention, this is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on (Hansgrohe ) mattress, super clean, smart equipment, smart toilet in Oita! ! (There are many details that I won’t go into details. If you have the chance, you must experience it for yourself) 3⃣Service, perfect service 💯, it’s like a ceiling. The boss sent us the location as soon as we booked the room. He got off the car and picked us up at the intersection. The housekeepers in the B&B are all very gentle and interesting people. In addition to making tea, the boss knows how to make tea. He’s super cool at making tea, and it’s super fun to chat with them, but his B&B is even more fascinating. To sum up, there are interesting and brave souls hidden in this quiet B&B. It is a B&B that can truly experience the slow life in Lijiang and is suitable for relaxing and sunbathing. Minghe Shuyuan: 1⃣The room is consistent with the online pictures, and I also like the decoration style. The various facilities are beautifully arranged, clean and tidy, and it is safe to stay. The B&B is located in the ancient city in a prosperous area, with convenient transportation and sound insulation. Okay, I slept peacefully all night 2⃣The owner of the B&B is so enthusiastic! The whole check-in process was very pleasant. The boss greeted us as soon as we got off the car, helped us with our luggage, and guided us all the way to the room. The boss is a tea lover and has great taste [strong]. When you come here, you can drink Pu'er tea brewed by the boss himself. , I personally like it very much, the state of slow life, I personally like it [celebration] 3⃣Every time I come to this city, I will choose this B&B because it is familiar and safe, and I will recommend it to my friends [circle]

Clean and hygienic, big room, quiet location amidst the hustle and bustle. Inside, every plant, tree, brick and chair is carefully arranged. The tea is also delicious. The boss is nice.

The environment is beautiful, the air is fresh, you can drink tea and it's very comfortable to stay. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. Master Zhang was very hospitable and enthusiastic. Before leaving, he and his family had a home-cooked meal. The food was delicious and the inn was very good. I will come back next time.
