Hotel Villa Dirce

We have just come back from a wonderful 1 weeks stay at Villa Dirce and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we have all been so well looked after and we were very sad to leave. On check in, it had taken us around 4 hours from the airport to the Hotel which was very tiring for all of us, due to the fact it was market day in Malcesine which happens once a month. As soon as we entered the Hotel we were greeted by Christiana who was so helpful with everything, she gave us our rooms and welcomed us to the bar for a welcome drink. Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised on how spacious it was, cleanliness just perfect, and this was continued throughout the week, our room maids were excellent and did a fantastic job throughout our stay. The views of the lake from our room were breathtaking, it's a view you can never tire of and a lovely way to start off every day. Breakfast every morning was always well stacked, Giagomo is an excellent waiter, from the first time in breakfast, he remembered our preferred hot drink all week and we had a Cappuccino waiting at our table every morning once he noticed our arrival. The choice of breakfast was excellent, there is loads of choice and was always well stocked. Breakfast is managed perfectly at the Hotel. The Pool area was always clean and tidy, Housekeeping have got the cleanliness perfect throughout the Hotel, there are plenty of Sun Loungers to use, the only thing there isn't, is much of a shaded area, the best place for this is on the bar/restaurant area. Getting in and out of town is also very easy, the Hotel put on a minibus in to town and back out again, the drivers Claudio, Mario & Vito did the majority of our trips, all great guys, my husband likes to talk and they were all helping him with his learning of Italian. The only issue which isn't really an issue was that there is a long wait during the day for the bus to pick you up, maybe put on a trip at 3pm and 4pm to bring guests back, because 5pm is a little late if you just want to pop to shops for a few hours. A few other staff I would like to mention are Anna (Reception), Anna, Gloria & Julia on the Bar, all were fantastic and very helpful throughout our stay, thank you all for making our holiday so memorable, we will be back one day. The hotel is fantastic. It’s spotlessly clean especially the pool I’ve never seen such a clean pool area. There was plenty sun loungers for everyone and the views are incredible. Every room looks over the lake . The staff are great , nothing was too much for them we even got a welcome drink and snack which was very much appreciated. Our room was also ready early as they knew we had an early flight . We said in room 208 it was perfect. We will definitely be back

The hotel is very nice but I would have preferred to be closer to town centre . There is a path to walk along to town which takes about 20 mins but when hot with the up and downs it makes for a very uncomfortable walk . The hotel does offer a shuttle bus but the timetable is not that frequent and as only as 6 seater mini bus often was full so had to wait for another run to be done into town To focus though on positives of hotel the outlook to lake and mountains is breath taking . All the plants around hotel grounds make it very pretty . The breakfast is first class and the fruit so fresh and tasty - some of the best ever cherries strawberries and melon. The hotel staff were all with no exception friendly and helpful . Christina on reception was so helpful and hard working. Our room was also cleaned every day in a first class way. My only concern around hotel was that drinks were served in glass glasses ! And on the last day around the hot tub there was broken glass. In line with most hotels would suggest they impose plastic only requirement - I know drinks not quite the same in plastic but does reduce chance of injuries

From arriving to departure everything was perfect .. location, amenities , staff nothing was too much trouble.. we will return.

Great hotel and staff. Couldn’t ask for more. Can’t comment on value as I didn’t pay. Great location, easy access to town Center, breakfast tasty and good variety. Friendly staff, great pool to dip in, comfortable rooms and an amazing view.

A small adult only hotel superbly sited on the edge of Lake Garda. The hotel was newly refurbished, delivered a high quality of customer service and high level of food choice and quality at breakfast. Undersold on the website so be prepared for a nice surprise.

I write this on my journey home, having spent the last week staying in this wonderful hotel in Limone. The hotel is recently renovated inside but maintains its traditional charm, with the building being set back into the hillside. Due to the location, all the rooms and communal areas (bar, pool, terrace…) have an amazing view over the lake, where you can enjoy a good selection of drinks and snacks. The included breakfast is buffet style with an excellent selection and a freshly made cappuccino on offer. Lastly, I would like to mention all the staff; everyone was friendly, attentive and professional. I would like to make a special mention of the guys in the bar - Vito, Anna and Giacomo who were all excellent! I will certainly be returning! Grazie di tutto e ci vediamo l'anno prossimo!

We had a week here to celebrate a birthday. Hotel more than met our expectations. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great variety for breakfast. Super clean rooms and corridors. Views from rooms were outstanding overlooking the Lake. We enjoyed 15 minute walk to and from Limone, but was useful to use shuttle bus if didn't want to walk the small incline back. I would recommend this hotel to stay
