Travelodge Lincoln Thorpe on the Hill

A nice peaceful stay, as always - a welcome rest after a long journey. It is conveniently located with fuel and food available nearby. We look forward to returning. (There was a minor issue with the shower, which the helpful staff resolved straight away.)

With out doubt the worst Travelodge I've ever visited. With a tiny bit of effort it could have been... Acceptable. Nothing was terrible, it was just so... Tired and run down. From the state of the car park, the grass, the sign on the front, the broken gutters it was all so lacklustre. Then the room. There was no lock on the bathroom door, the hinges for the bathroom door had been painted over and had rust-stained the paint, the shower hose *almost* reached the point where it was high enough to stand underneath without crouching under it (I'm only just 6ft, not that tall), the light above the bathroom mirror was only held in with what looked like one screw and it leaned down at the unscrewed end, the socket for the kettle was *almost* high enough above the desktop so that the cable didn't need to be bent so severely it dragged the plug back out of the socket again, the kettle leaked water, the socket for the television was fixed at 90 degrees, there were no USB points anywhere, only one spare socket in the entire room, a vast area of unused floor space underneath the window made the room look very empty, the lighting all appeared to be the old style flickering fluorescent lamps - slow to start too. It was just so... Depressing. I would suggest going somewhere else if you have any choice. It was clean, it was a bed. Is that good enough at nearly £80 a night?

Stayed here as visiting family. Hotel was basic but ticked the box offering somewhere convenient and cheap. Rooms were clean with tv and tea/coffee facilities

Lovely service at reception. Very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and quiet enabling a good night's sleep.

We arrived late, and the male member of staff was very helpful and polite. He got us in and resolved our issues very quickly. The morning staff were a bundle of joy, helpful and polite, and good representatives for Travelodge, we had a great stay, and it comes recommended.

Stayed here on business while in Lincoln. On arrival had a friendly greeting at reception. Was allocated room 14. Room was found to be very clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Nice, clean fresh sheets. Couldn't thank staff enough as nothing seemed to much trouble. Will definitely use again

Stayed at this hotel (motel) a few times now. It's cheap, convenient and basic. Staff are always friendly. Don't like the breakfast boxes, too much in them I can't eat, but the golden arches are just a minute up the road for breakfast and decent coffee.

Spent 6 weeks here and can’t fault it or the staff at all. Thankyou to them all xx. Had 2 young children with me as well and they was very excited and happy there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone . Lots of nearby places to eat for families and free parking.
