Stayed with 11 colleagues as we were having a Christmas night out in Lincoln. Hotel rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and the team are very accommodating with specific requirements. Fantastic team & fabulous service. Will most certainly return.

Went for Sunday lunch. Have been once before and really enjoyed our meals, hence the reason we came again. However it was not the case this time. Meal came swimming in gravy, the beef was fatty and difficult to cut, the mashed potato was only warm and the roast potatoes were awful, soggy and as if they had been reheated or kept warm for too long. We started meal and waitress came over straight away to ask if ok. We had barely started to eat the meal at this point When the waitress came to collect plates told her how disappointing it was, not the standard I expected. She muttered something and off she went. Nobody came back to us. On paying the bill I explained how disappointed we were with the meal. The waiter was disinterested even though he said the waitress had informed him. He offered no apology. We paid the bill in full and left. Thought the meal was poor and the staff were ignorant. Will definitely not return and would not recommend.

All very average. Rather frustratingly, we stayed at the Pyewipe and returned from a night out in Lincoln hoping to have some drinks in the pub. Unfortunately, and rather unbelievably, the pub closes at 9 o’clock. How a pub with a large number of rooms can survive on that basis is beyond me! We then spent the night listening to the television of the room next door blaring through the paper thin walls. Ironically, if we had been able to have a drink it might have made the racket from the room next door a bit more palatable! Ooooohhhhhh, also, if you’re the type of person who likes a lie in then avoid this place. Breakfast finishes at 9; and not a minute later! Never again!

I stayed overnight en route from North to South for business. I was told that there was no available wi-fi for customers in the main building (restaurant/pub) which I thought a little odd but returned to my room in the evening to work - no wi-fi. Rang reception, vague chat about having a few probs "today", implying a new problem, BT said they'd try and come tomorrow I'll come over and re-set the router to see if that makes a difference. No further feedback. No wi-fi. Asked how my stay was in the morning, I mentioned the wi-fi to another member of staff who said that there had been "a few" problems for some time. It was completely impossible for me to work and I might have well have just continued with my drive. Not therefore a good place to stay for business and no real interest in assisting. The food was good tho' had to go up to the bar to order when 3 staff were standing there "available" and had not made this clear. Overall disappointing.

Beds are so comfortable, rooms beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Shower is powerful. Great facilities included with room, ironing board, iron, plenty of plug sockets. Food in restaurant was simply stunning, evening meal had a great selection of food to choose from and a lovely Sauvignon Blanc. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made scrambled eggs and delicious bacon. I will definitely stay here again when in the area, great value for money too.

Served cold, and some frozen butterfly prawns for starter! Served burnt, crispy overcooked rump steak for mains. Nice front of house staff. Poor service from the kitchen, obviously no one checking the dishes coming out, or their standard, Terrible !

My family and I decided to go out for our Christmas meal last year (2023) and we all agreed on going to the Pyewipe as we all liked the sound of the menu. So, I made the booking and paid £10 each for the deposit (there was 4 of us). Unfortunately, 1 family member couldn't make it, so I rang up and informed them. I was told the extra £10 paid would just come off the bill on the day. Then the day came and I was absolutely shocked at the service we received. Our table was booked for 1200hrs , and by 1240hrs, we were on our third course. As soon as we'd finished our course, the plates were collected and the next course was in front of us. We had one drink throughout the meal as we were not asked if we wanted another. The staff were hovering over us, watching and waiting for us to finish. Then, after we had finished, I asked for the bill. When it came, it only had £30 taken off (even though I had paid £40). I raised this with the waitress, who said they would send the manager over. I then raised this with him, who informed me that they don't normally take deposits off the bill if you don't show, but as I was told on the phone they would, he would honour this. He returned with the new bill, placed it on the table, and went to get the card machine. As he left, he made a sarcastic comment of 'don't worry, I'll pay the difference'. I was a bit confused with this as I'd already paid the £10 he was taking off? My partner queried this with him, only to then receive more rude and sarcastic comments about how he has happy to make the payment. He also told us that as we amended the booking from 4 people to 3 , they've lost out on that seat and extra money? Given the cost of £76 per person, I'm absolutely appalled at the service we received.
