SMIR International Hotel

On my first night, I found a rather large insect in my room and contacted housekeeping. The male staff member who came to assist was very cold and dismissive. After a quick look, he claimed not to see any insect. When I requested pest control, he just sprayed some disinfectant casually twice and left in a hurry, without thoroughly cleaning or checking for potential pest issues. Due to the pest problem, I absolutely couldn't stay in the original room. After reporting the issue, no one followed up for a long time. It wasn't until I repeatedly urged them in the afternoon that they finally arranged a room change. Even after switching rooms, the experience of finding insects and the perfunctory service left me feeling uneasy throughout my stay, and I couldn't truly relax. The hotel's pest control in the rooms is clearly inadequate. I paid to stay here but instead of a comfortable rest, I had a terrible experience. I do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Gulou Square, which is super convenient. However, the facilities are a bit old-fashioned. If they upgraded the room amenities, it would be much more competitive. It also has its own private courtyard, offering a tranquil environment.

The room was bright and spacious, very comfortable. I wasn't sure how to turn on the TV, so I called the front desk, and a housekeeper came right over to help me. The service was very enthusiastic, and the TV even had introductions to local attractions. The night view was also beautiful.

The room was spacious and odor-free, equipped with a fantastic Xiaomi air purifier. It was very clean and even had a bathtub. Parking was convenient, and check-in was quick. The room was quite comfortable, and the price was reasonable. The environment was also good, and the room was spotless. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. You can even see the Drum Tower from the room at night.
