Fair price for a place to lay your head. Rooms are dated & do need a wee refresher. But the room had what I needed a bed bathroom kettle wifi &tv.

Great budget hotel and location is excellent. Free parking in Liverpool is a bonus.
Noisy if on roadside but no fans in the room so windows have to be open.
Stayed a couple if times now no complaints as such.

It feels like an American-style Motel, with convenient transportation and convenient dining nearby. However, the house is too old and the sound insulation is very poor.

The hotel is located on the seaside, very close to the Albert Dock. It is a 20-minute walk to James St train station and a 15-minute walk to the city center, Liverpool Cathedral and many other attractions. It is convenient for sightseeing. The heating is powerful, the temperature is suitable, the bed is comfortable, the windows can be opened, and the wifi is good. However, the desk light is dark. It would be better if a desk lamp is added.

We arrived late evening and were really pleased when we entered the reception, as it had a lovely modern, clean look to it. But that all changed when we were sent back outside to the accommodation block. The odour as soon as you enter is pretty unpleasant, very musty and damp smelling, with added cigarette smoke from a large group who were sitting right outside the door to the block. Upon opening the door to our room, it didn't get any better. The room was smelly, very dated and in dire need of redecorating. Only one lamp was working and the tv was stuck on Ch4+1. The carpet was disgustingly dirty and stained. The bottom of the bedside cabinet was covered in thick dust and white mould, as was the area of carpet it was standing on. The bed was very comfortable (hooray!) with clean sheets, however, there was a very overpowering, nasty, greasy body odour coming through the sheets and pillowcases from the duvet and pillows underneath. Also, when we booked we were told that parking was free, however, they have recently introduced parking charges @£7.50 per day, which they didn't have the courtesy to email us about before we arrived. I don't recommend this hotel - for the price the standards were unacceptable. The location was excellent.

On arrival looked nice and comfortable, easy to sign in ,got to our room and the floor was wet , easily moved to another room with a view of the river , 10 minute walk to city centre , button in reception to call a taxi , the downfall is the breakfast not worth the money they charge but it does get you off to a good start for the day . Staff friendly and welcoming .

This was our second visit to Liverpool in a few weeks. In this part of our trip, we were with a group. We found it was a bit out of town although close to all attractions near the waterfront and also near a very vibrant area where family-style eating is the only type of restaurant, in an old warehouse area that was full of young people and young families. It was a Saturday night and was so busy. The room was ordinary, although we were lucky enough to get a room on the ground floor as there is no lift. We could not eat in their restaurant as it smelt of old oil.

I stayed at Capanile while attending a conference at ACC. The location is great for this. The hotel reception/ bar/ restaurant area is pleasant, modern and the staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The rooms, however, leave a lot to be desired! I would describe my room as the sort you see in an estate agent’s photo of a property that’s described as a ‘do-er up-er’. Wood chip walls, dated, tired furniture and whilst it was superficially clean it felt like everything needed a deep clean. There was no mirror in the room at all, the only one being in bathroom. This made it difficult to dry and straighten my hair as there’s no socket in bathroom (obviously). The TV didn’t work. The bed was reasonably comfortable but the pillows were naff. On the plus side the shower was great with plenty of hot water. My room was on the 2nd floor and there’s no lift. In summary if you’re looking for somewhere economical and absolutely no frills to stay, this fits the bill. But if you want your stay be vaguely comfortable I’d avoid!

Stayed for 3 nights in a superior, twin room with lovely river view. Was great, as saw dragon boat racing on one day. The view is great and room was on ground floor. Comfy beds and payable parking outside with no problem getting a space. Paid extra for breakfast which was good with hot and cold options such as cereal, toast, fruit etc and the breakfast room/bar is nicely decorated, plus an attractive outside area next to the river. On arrival I asked for extra hangers and towels. Shannon was very quick at providing them. Later on she served us at the bar. She was extremely hard working and nothing was too much trouble for her. The negatives are that although the room was a superior It was rather dated. A couple of labels on the side of the wardrobe and in the bathroom were not straight and there were some holes in the side of the wardrobe. Bits of black mould around the toilet flusher which some limescale remover would probably get rid of. The toilet roll was very thin and the shower curtain was not wide enough to go across the bath. I wasn't keen on the smell of the body and hand wash (suspect it was cheap). The bathroom could do with a couple of glasses or plastic cups. I would say it was not really superior other than the view and being on the ground floor.
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Thank you for the great review of our hotel! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon. Sincerely,

Booked this for 7th September as we were going to a show at the Arena. Ended up leaving at midnight and going home. To start with the whole place was dark and miserable, and smelt of **** and damp on the way to the room When we got to the room it was really dated and in need of tarting up which we could live with However when we got back to the room to sleep the mattress was so thin the springs just dug into you and then after ten minutes my feet and legs began to itch and soon covered in lumps and bites - having endured this for half an hour we packed up and left For an extortionate price of £134 for a night you at least expect a hotel to be clean and tidy and not riddled with bed bugs Do not stay here as it will spoil your whole experience of a great city!
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We have taken your concerns on board and have investigated the issue of 'bed bugs' to which no evidence was found. We have 24 hour reception staff available at anytime to help accommodate any queries or concerns. Sincerely,

This hotel was so very basic... no lift to the second floor and we had to drag our bags up 2 flights of stairs. The room has flat pillows, thin sheets and towels. The carpet, room and facilities were so old. The hotel location is walking distance to the harbour. Breakfast was basic and not particularly tasty.
