We had read some of the reviews on *********** which said that this place was good value, unfortunately I am unable to agree, it was expensive for room only with no reception area and we would not stay there again. The pictures are soooooo good but the reality doesn't match. The outside of the place is awful and doesn't look faintly like it belongs in the beautiful Georgian Quarter of the city. We were in one of the top rooms (5 I think), here was no window, just a skylight so we were woken up as soon as it got light. The shower was dreadful with poor pressure and it was impossible to keep the temperature constant, it was either boiling or freezing. The room and shower room were clean but the bed was really not at all comfortable. If you eventually get your hair washed and rinsed in the awful shower, take an extension cable if you want to dry your hair as the plug is too far away from the mirror. There wasn't much tea and coffee and there was no milk, just a jar of coffee mate which looked liked it had been there for ages. There is a small fridge so if you stay, take some milk and tea/coffee. Good points, there was a small ironing board and a travel iron and a decent hairdryer. We parked outside for free and thankfully our car was undamaged so I would say don't worry about leaving your car. It was a fair distance from town which is fair enough and we managed to get taxis which were about £9 each way. It's not so bad going into town on foot, but unless you have a really good sense of direction and comfy shoes, I wouldn't recommend walking back, particularly if you've had a drink. I hate leaving poor reviews but this is a completely honest one, the fact it didn't suit us doesn't mean you wont like it.
