We are slowly making improvements as and when budget allows it and hope to eventually bring our whole lodge to that standard eventually. You may have noticed we are currently building a brand new self catering ktichen amongst many other changes we have done and have planned. Response from Property: Thank you for your lovely and balanced review, Sakala. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you very much for your feedback regarding flies and bees. Bees aren't usually an issue... Perhaps there was a swarm on the move during the hot weather. Regarding flies, there do seem to be a few around at the moment, especially because of the hot weather and rain. Unfortunately, however, despite our efforts to curtail unwanted bugs such as flies and mosquitoes, we can't control what happens in the surrounding neighbourhood. Some neighbours have lifestock on their properties, there are other food establishments nearby which may not follow the correct hygiene protocols and there is also a national park close by which has wildlife, all of which attract flies. We do have great focus on hygiene, have those little table fans to repel flies and in fact, we are expecting a truck from SA in the next few days, which contains ceiling fans which we have bought specifically to blow away mosquitoes and should help with flies too, so we are indeed working on the situation. Regarding dinner, up until about 3 weeks ago we did not serve dinner at all unless by request for groups of 6 or more. So, it's ironic you mention we should add more to the dinner menu. We recently built a pizza oven and brought up a chef from South Africa to train our staff on how to make the most delicious pizzas ever (thin-based, as a pizza should be) and now offer pizza for dinners and to be honest, it is likely that evening meals will only be pizzas, going forward. Once it gets momentum, we are likely to keep a chef present in the evenings to prepare pizzas. Thanks again for the feedback.
