The b&b is located in a small village about 1 mile from 2 great beaches and a 200 yard walk to a decent local pub/restaurant. Our smallish room was attractively decorated with a bright colour scheme, comfortable bed and quality bathroom fittings. We appreciated the excellent wifi signal. Storage was limited with only 2 coat hangers and no drawers. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room fell well short of usual standards. Thick layers of dust covered the bedside lampshades and blinds and to a lesser extent most flat surfaces. The bathroom radiator/towel rail bars below the top one were coroding and covered in dust and rust particles. My wife felt the need to dust the flat surfaces and partially clean the radiator herself. There was a plumbing issue whereby the toilet partially flushed of its own accord on a regular basis - one night in bed, we noted it occurred every 8 minutes. Dafydd dismissed the issue but it should be attended to. Breakfast was ordered the night before by text with fixed options that cannot be mixed i.e. cooked, cold or takeaway. The cooked breakfast was however excellent but, for example, you cannot have cereal or fruit if you select the cooked option. Blas Gwyr has the makings of 5* accommodation but there needs to be more attention to detail and cleanliness.
