The location , hotel , spa and hotel are all excellent. The hotel is possibly a four star and the villas are 5* the only gripe was the check in. Wow that was a painful experience. Arrive an hour early to ensure you don’t waste time stood waiting for very slow and incompetent staff. The shop at the hotel is expensive , see photos for October 2024 prices.

The hotel resort was very big and the townhouse was very spacious. Great place to book with a group of friends. Lovely golf course and tennis courts.

We love this place! We have been multiple times and love it every time we go. Staff are lovely, facilities amazing and lots to do nearby. There is an indoor pool and one outdoor pool for every set of villas. Understandably this isn’t open in the winter but amazing in the summer!

Golf bar shut for 2 days and without a car not much to do. Pickleball cancelled even though it was on . Over 18s jacuzzi has young children in and weren't stopped. Marketplace is over priced. Leisure staff were very friendly though. You must go in season or avoid or have a car and be willing to travel

We come here regularly. It never disappoints. Accommodation is always super. Clean, spacious and relaxing. Lovely small garden that overlooks the golf course..and private. With a small BBQ spot too. A short walk to the Hacienda Hotel or 19th Hole or La Finca..food or drinks. Take your pick. Grounds are stunning and lovely to walk and hear all the varieties of birds. Love see all the cats and how they are looked after. This time we had a regular purry cat..Max say hello each day. A 24hr gym and day Spa compliments, too. Service Team are lovely, we are always made so welcome. Back next year. Definitely a recommend.

I called ahead because I am sensitive to mold and was assured the room was not moldy. It was. The bathroom and bedroom are combined in one bedroom, where the shower water is not contained by the small shield. The other bathroom has no window or fan. I was able to manage because it was not too hot and I could keep the windows open to air out the condo. The troubling thing is that the front desk was pretty flippant when I requested a room without mold, saying they had no mold. They do. Although the resort was not full, our unit was located by an empty pool that was undergoing noisy maintenance.

As a Marriott owner of another resort and own points, we decided to stay at Marriott Son Antem for a change. The last time we visited was 10 years ago. Loved the space and sports classes. Nice walks around the jogging trails. Once again, you request certain villas on booking but never get a request. Food was excellent. As owner of Marriott, you could only attend the owners meeting if you owned at Son antem. Though Marriott only sell points that cover all Marriott resorts. The villas do need upgrading. Softer furnishings lamps etc need providing. I would like to see them upgraded to standard of the American accommodation

We booked last minute for October half term. We had a 2 bedroom villa which was clean and perfect for a family of 4. The decor is dated but it’s good quality and extremely clean so if you look past the ascetic it’s wonderful. We enjoyed the basketball court, the tennis, and spent a lot of time in the indoor/outdoor spa pool and garden which are amazing! The pool is heated, there is a football cage and a sandpit and giant chess to keep the children safely entertained. We loved that it was open until 9pm so we swam at night too. The main issue is the size of the resort, we were in a 300 villa so needed to drive to the centre. You need to ask for a 500 or 700 villa to be walkable

Another stay, this time with family members, for a very active week. Weather kind apart from one shocking downpour. Good service at La Terrasse. Surprised shop does not stock any items to deter insects, as opposed to bite treatments. Amazon fire stick worked straight off. We will return for 8th visit in 4 years.

Good all round service and property and grounds. It would be great if the cost of food items was kept more affordable in the onsite shop, and if there was a bigger selection of well known international products as well as essentials such as soap. The location is a bit remote, a free or low cost shuttle service, in the busy months, would really be useful to Palma and local beaches. Better and wider choice of food to cater for international cliental at the restaurant La Terresa. These minor changes would make the place far more appealing, add wow factor and make people return year after year.

Poor check in at the resort always delayed and despite the number of villas and an enforced 10am check out villas still not ready at 4pm. Even if you belong to Bonvoy they do nothing to help. Lovely resort and improved La Terraza restaurant, but improve the first impression!

I must admit that writing negative service statements is probably the least funny things I could imagine during my own vacation. But, my latest experience, even before arrival at the Marriot Vacation club, was so annoying that I cannot resist doing it. I am not sure how bad this review would have been if I was not enjoying a fantastic private pool with the family in another location while writing my comment. We are owner at the MVC Son Antem since a couple of years and do hold Platinum Elite status (after titanium for some years) of the Bonvoy Programme. We requested a paid upgrade from a 2 bedroom villa to a three bedroom villa. We were sent from MVC Reception and hotline to the resort check in reception. After directly approaching our MVC seller, our request was again sent to the resort reception. It was obvious that the coordination between the two parties was lacking. Even worse: after our complaint we were sent an e-mail confirming that there was no capacity. Further, we were told that the request should have been handled by MVC. But, as a matter of politeness he answered our mail. Then, we called the hotel and asked if there was a chance to enter the villa a bit earlier than 4 pm. This was the worst call I could think of. We were lectured in the worst tone ever that check in was 4 pm. After telling that we as platinum elite member would appreciate if he could at least check availability, sine we also do not request late check out, he within a second confirmed no availability and that check out time is 10 am. No matter what status AND: he really hung up on me!!!! I called again and this guy really told me I was the one hanging up or the line might have broke. Absolutely incredible. At this location I do not even feel honored as a guest, not to think of being welcomed back as a loyal Bonvoy Member. I am sure we’ll will enjoy our vacation, but surely not expecting any kind of service quality. We have used several locations at MVC already, all good so far. I hope it was just bad luck, but seems more like structural issues. Thomas

Yesterday, when we got to our room we saw it was a big walk to get to reception and the hacienda, where our 85+ grandparents are staying. They give us another room at 700 which we are told it is ‘closer’. Turns out it’s a 12 minute walk:longer than before. So when we get back to the hotel at around 23:00 from our activities this evening, we decide we want to get a different villa as this walk had even given my mom blisters, and was way too far. At reception, we ask for our room to be changed, the receptionist called a lady (staff) who is leaving to help. She calls the a manager, hands the phone to my mom and the manager says that we cant get the room back, we originally stayed in. So we have to walk that 12 minutes to the villa, with new cards as the ones we had for the new villa had been lost. Though this loss didn't matter as the door itself was jammed and was not working no matter the car. We have to call reception( it is around 00:40 now) to bring someone to help with the door, which took 10 minutes to come although it was less than a minute drive. When he finally arrives, it takes 10 minutes for him to fix the door while me, my mom and brother are sitting in the car. When he finally fixes the door, we can get in finally and have some rest. These ‘night receptionists’ were very rude, the lady who called the manager on the phone nearly sprinted out the door when we were looking the other way, and one of the worst thing about this is we have been here numerous times, enjoyed the holidays to a great extent and are platinum members who have also visited other marriott hotels from other places in spain and other parts of the world. This is one of the worst hotel experiences we ever had. We even had to pay for the cleaning, all of this has just about ruined the holiday.

The plus points: the golf course and grounds are immaculate, the whole area is gated and feels safe, the marketplace and restaurants are good with friendly staff, the pool and surrounding area beautifully kept. The minus points: the reception staff are knowledgeable but border on arrogant (never ever smile), the villas are clean and spacious but really old fashioned and there’s little to do if you don’t play golf. There are just two restaurants and the complex is in a fairly remote area so you will need a car.
