What a fabulous place - real luxury with delicious breakfast and stunning views. Phil and Sophie are the perfect hosts. The area is so different to anything we had seen before - so beautiful and fantastic walking. We enjoyed walking down to the beach in the evening, as well as a fabulous walk from Stoer lighthouse - stunning views. Would highly recommend for those wanting to experience Assynt in all its glory!

Lovely simple B&B, rooms clean and quiet and ample for a few nights stay. Breakfasts lovely and the hosts are lovely friendly people, happy to chat and give advice on what to see and do. It’s a little off the beaten track but that’s why we booked it to get away from the holiday traffic. Make sure you have a place to eat booked before arriving as it might prove difficult to just turn up somewhere and expect a table, especially in the summer months. Walks from the door and hardly for the Stoer lighthouse road.

Sophie and Philip are charming, welcoming, and a mine of information. The accommodation is more than adequate, well-appointed (but see below), and has enthralling views. Bear in mind that access is along around 9 miles of narrow road with drops and/or rocky walls and passing places. I’m OK with this, but my wife would not enthuse if driving. Restaurants in Lochinver, but book in advance. We loved Delilah’s, but it is deservedly popular, and those not booking were being turned away while we were there (May 2022). Read the ‘small print’ at Philosophy - no television and no WiFi. Internet signal faint and intermittent. We are ok with this, but some would definitely not be. If you want a simple, quiet place, with great rural views, and super hosts, this is for you.
