Springkell

What a beautiful and stunning period home. Gorgeous grounds and excellent staff. Staying was like a fairytale and felt like a princess. The luxury and opulence was amazing. We had dinner and breakfast, both of which were so good. Everyone was welcoming, courteous and so helpful in every way. I would love to stay for a long visit and explore the surrounding countryside on another occasion.

We had a really nice stay at Springkell to split tour journey to Bute The House was beautifully kept and and very clean. The staff were a credit to the hotel, they were extremely helpful in ever way, The room was a good size and beds and pillows very comfortable, I did like the one large pillow and one less thick pillow. The shower was poetically nice and powerful which we did like. Breakfast was as good as any breakfast I have had in a hotel, it was of a good size and a with quality sausage. The grounds are also well kept Defiantly worth a say

Super stay at Springkell, really swift check in. When we said we couldn’t manage a huge meal, they accommodated us with no problems. The room was really comfortable, beautiful garden view and a very peaceful night’s sleep. Breakfast was beautiful too and the service throughout our stay very friendly and efficient. The Hotel and grounds were beautifully kept. I would definitely stay here again…

This was a last minute stopover after a long journey. The setting is beautiful and the house lovingly restored. The staff were welcoming and friendly and meals freshly cooked and delicious. Slept well. Left with a very satisfied feeling. Very nice to meet the owner.

Understaffed! Very bad experience with dinner. Booked a table, never had any response prior to arrival on request. Upon arrival (17h15)we had to choose immediately what we would like to eat. Were then placed at table at the far back of dining room whilst it was almost empty with no guests. Waiter refused to move us to a better spot. After we moved ourselves, he did not bother to serve us for the rest of the evening. Our food arrived before our drinks were on the table, so as if they wanted to get rid of us. There is no soul in your place. Time to warm it up! I will never return!

What a fabulous venue absolutely perfect for us. My Daughter and Son-in-law got Married on Saturday the 1st of June 2024 and we cannot praise it enough. We arrived on the Friday to set up and have a barbecue with all our family and friends and off we went, from the staff to the venue and of course the delicious food we had a fabulous night. Saturday off we go again in the stunning honeymoon suit, the lovely staff made sure we had everything we needed and brought breakfast up to the room which was greatly appreciated, nothing was to much trouble for this young staff. The wedding was perfect from the stunning venue to the delicious food and amazing staff I would highly recommend it. A big shout out to James and his family for letting us hire his beautiful home and for making sure Lauren and Owen had an unforgettable wedding day, to Gill who is an amazing lady and ready to help with anything and everything what an asset to Springkell and last but not least the lovely staff honestly you can’t run a successful business without a great team and no matter who you spoke to they were always willing to help, thank you. Sorry must mention the food, when Owen and Lauren chose beef wellington I thought how on earth are they going to cook 60 or 70 perfect wellingtons but they did it and that’s not an easy thing to do so a big shout out to the chef and his staff, food was delicious all weekend.Overall an amazing venue with amazing staff thank you so much.

My son and I made a last minute reservation here. Lovely country estate stay. The road coming in must be taken with care. Comfortable bed, great breakfast, beautiful evening walks. We really enjoyed the peace and serenity of this place. Hope to visit again one day.
