Comfort Inn Victoria

Unfortunately our travel agency booked this hotel for us with no previous experiences from other guests . We spent 4 days and 4 nights and we had many problems during our stay. At arrival, we were informed that the room we booked with 2 single beds was not available and we had to stay in a different room and share a bed that was not big nor comfortable. Apparently they accept more bookings for double rooms than they actually can provide and we have seen 5 other guests with the same problem. We were put on a waiting list for the room we had paid for previously! Apparently there are not enough people working in this hotel since the reception was usually empty, making it hard to ask for information, request services/items for our room and it gave us the impression that anyone could walk in and enter the room areas. Often the housekeeping wouldn’t provide us with items like towels and toilet paper and forgot to take the rubbish out. The safe was not functional and the receptionist owned some sort of general key that could easily open the safe, and that seemed very odd. The room carpet was dirty and dusty. The front street was very noisy and windows couldn’t block the noise nor curtains could prevent lights from coming in since they were very thin. One good thing I can say about our stay would be the breakfast, which was included… A clean space, even decorated with local tourist spots. Not many items as expected for this type of hotel, but there were yogurts, bread, a toaster, cheese, ham, a coffee machine, so it was reasonable to start the day.

I chose this hotel for my family vacation based on the Comfort Inn name. We have always enjoyed the quality of Comfort Inn hotels in our previous travels. This particular hotel does NOT live up to the Comfort Inn name. It didn't feel structurally sound nor safe. The floor felt like it was crumbling under our feet in certain areas of the room. It sounded like people walking above us were going to come through the ceiling. The carpet was filthy. We could not see out or open the window -- it appeared to be nailed shut and there was something hanging over it on the outside. Breakfast options were extremely limited. So disappointed! BTW, we stayed in room 101.

**Review:** Avoid avois avoid. I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the conditions. The noise disturbance, particularly from the kitchen early in the morning, was unbearable. Additionally, dirty laundry left in the hallways was unsightly and unacceptable. Broken coffee machines, tiny rooms and highly uncomfortable bed. After checking the reviews on the hotel's website, I found that we were not the only guests to have these complaints. It's clear these issues have been ongoing and have not been properly addressed. I hope the hotel takes these reviews seriously and makes the necessary improvements. Sincerely disappointed.
