very good experience

I hate to say it, but I was looking at hotels in the Marriott Bonvoy selection in London and this one looked decent so I went ahead an booked it for my trip in September. Then , I just happened to look at the reviews on the Bonvoy Marriott website and then here and this morning I immediately cancelled the reservation as I was horrified by the poor grading and terrible reviews relating to the condition of this hotel and its rooms . I frequently stay at other Luxury Collection properties and therefore have high expectations for the place ( the bar , being the likes of The Langley out in Windsor). Why waste ones hard earned money and loyalty points , only to be extremely disappointed and regretful during ones stay. Thanks to the honest review authors here and on the Bonvoy site for painting a picture of what this hotel is actually like.

Ah, darling, let me paint you a picture of this... establishment. It's not quite the Ritz, more of a glorified boarding house with delusions of grandeur. The furniture? Well, it's seen better days, much like the clientele. The fitness centre is adequate for those who insist on perspiring in public. Location-wise, it's splendid if you fancy rubbing shoulders with the Harrods set. Cocktails are passable, though I'd advise bringing your own Pimm's. The staff, bless their hearts, do their best with what little they have - rather like making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The views, I must admit, are divine - it's a pity one can't live on vistas alone. Now, don't get your hopes up about value, darling. You'd have better luck finding a bargain at Savile Row. The showers are a curious affair, rooms are decidedly below the salt, and summer turns the place into a veritable sauna. The bathtubs? Vintage, and not in the charming way. The decor is about as inspiring as a wet weekend in Bognor.

Stayed here one night. The staff are lovely - they really are very welcoming and helpful. The reception area is impressive and was a a good start. We were upgraded which was very nice. Then to the room. Oh dear - it really did let the place down. It's as if all the effort has gone into first impressions with the lobby and the rooms have been left in a time in the past. It's a long, long time since we've stayed in a hotel of this level that doesn't have a coffee maker - just a kettle and a sachet of instant coffee. The decor is tired and really needs an update. And it's not just tired, the cupboards are chipped, the windows are peeling and it's generally unimpressive. It really does need sorting.

Excellent location! You can reach all attractions and important te see places within an hour by walking or public transport. Rooms are big and comfortable! Interior of the hotel is quite old and needs renovation! Staff is providing professional service! Offering for breakfast could be more extensive!

This evening my husband and I arranged to meet our five children and their partners at the hotel for pre dinner drinks but the whole experience was so appalling that I felt compelled to write a review which is an indication of how disappointing a start to our special evening it was (it was a celebration for my 60th Birthday). Despite being a Saturday evening, only one barman was on duty and he was surly, dour and decidedly unwelcoming. Basics such as mango juice were no in stock so drinks with them advertised as an ingredient arrived minus the mango juice and all our drinks took over 45 minutes to arrive resulting in us having to contact the nearby restaurant to notify them that we would be late. We would have felt happier if we had been greeted with a smile and an apology for any delay but neither was forthcoming and on that basis I could not recommend this bar to anyone.

Just spent 7 nights at Park Tower. Great location. Rooms could use an Bonvoy upgrade, but they are clean and the beds are wonderful. What really stands out is the staff. They were just beyond awesome. Also room service was incredible. Prompt and tasty. We will be back for sure.

The hotel and its staff treated my family in a manner a titanium guest would expect. The location of the hotel is perfect. Underground, Harrods, Hyde Park in 3 mins walking distance. Karan the evening manger and Greg the concierge gave best recommendations on things to do

Couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was well equipped and very comfy bed. Turn down was great with lots of extra water. Great location. Practically in the centre of Knightsbridge you couldn’t ask for a better location. We will definitely stay here again.

We will definitely return to this beautiful hotel. Every review I write always points out the first thing any guest encounters when they first get to their hotel — the check-in desk. After a very long, much delayed flight from California, we couldn’t have been happier to have finally reached this beautiful hotel. Our check-in was facilitated by Aires - he couldn’t have been more personable, more knowledgeable or more gracious to us knowing we had just come from a very long travel day. He was absolutely wonderful! Each time we saw him during our stay, it was like seeing an old friend. And by the way, this was one of the very few times that about 15 minutes after we first got to our room, he called us to find out if everything was okay!!!! In addition to Aires, we were also fortunate enough to eat in the hotel restaurant/bar a few times - the food was fantastic, the drinks were generous and the manager, Manuf, a wonderful presence each time we were there. One of the evenings we had dinner there, we were waited on by the also wonderful Humayra - she was efficient, friendly, helpful and we adored her. We loved the fact that when you want to go to your room, you press your floor number on the elevator and once you enter, you realize that there are no floor numbers inside the elevator, preventing someone from pressing all the floors (did I say kids?) . Loved that. And last, but not least, this hotel is located in a terrific location - close to Harrod’s, and close to many hop-on, hop-off bus companies that will take you all over the city!
