The surrounding area is quite lively, and you can reach Mayfair a little further west, where you can find galleries and luxury goods. The facilities are also good, the service is attentive, and it is cleaned every day. Breakfast is not bad, but only English style.

The EDITION has always been a simple boutique hotel style, and the HK front desk lady is very awesome.

The price/performance ratio is too low. The deputy general manager does not even have a bathtub.

The Edison is as good as ever and of such quality. Hotels in London are too expensive, so I booked the cheapest room type. On the downside, there is no view from the window. This hotel has a great feeling, the entrance is very beautiful, but there are many bars around at night, it would be scary to walk on foot. The toiletries are still specially customized by le labo. In the morning, the downstairs smells like coffee, and when you come back at night, it smells like le labo the noir, which is very comfortable. The room is fully equipped, the toilet is fully surrounded by rain, and there is mineral water. The light switch is also very delicate.

One of my favorite hotels in London is The Edition. I have stayed there a couple of times, and each visit has been satisfying. The beds are extremely comfortable (I even purchased their bedding after returning home), and the elegant design adds to the experience. The robes are incredibly cozy, and the Le Labo amenities are a nice touch. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming. I once stayed in the Loft, which is amazingly well-designed. The hotel's location is also very convenient, easily accessible from the airport by tube, and there are lots of good food options around SoHo. It could be a bit pricy depending on the time of the year.

I chose the London Edition because of its location. We arrived at 11:00 pm for two nights, were greeted nicely by reception. Told where breakfast would be served in the morning. The room we booked was a deluxe king. We opened the door to a tiny room, looked at each other, and laughed. The room was dreary, with fake 1970s paneling. I've stayed in Fairfields that were way better. Too tired to care, we tried to sleep. But there is no carpeting on the floors, and the guest in the room above us spent the night scraping their desk chair across our ceiling. With almost no sleep, we went to breakfast. As Titanium members, and told by reception at checkin where our breakfast would be served, we were shocked to be charged £54 ($68) for 2 orange juices, a bowl of yogurt, and a bacon/egg sandwich. We couldn't get out fast enough. But because we had booked two nights and chose to leave after one night because of so many issues, I was told I could only get the points I had used to pay for the room back if I paid the cost of the room - £600! I said by all means keep the points. I emailed the hotel once I was back in the US, explained my concerns, and was essentially told reception should have explained that breakfast is not complimentary for Titanium members, but other than that, it was "I apologize that these differences and design didn't align with your expectations" The good news is that we moved to the Marriott at Grosvenor Square, which was outstanding. I never leave a negative review unless it's really bad. Unfortunately, this is one of those times.
Response from Property: Dear emachesney, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologise as it clearly appears we failed to meet your expectations on this occasion. I am glad to be aware that our Reception Manager is already in touch with you via email to address your concerns. However, if there would be anything else we can assist with, I remain at your disposal. emachesney, I truly hope this experience has not completely tarnished your view of The London EDITION and our EDITION brand. I hope that you may give us the opportunity to welcome you back to any of our bars or restaurants, or to the hotel itself in the near future. Kind regards, Paul Walters, General Manager

This Hotel is absolutely beautiful. The ambiance and styling, the staff are friendly, nothing is to much. A lovely afternoon tea, traditional, beautifully served, very nice ambiance, the tea was excellent, lots of choice and the staff made sure is plenty to eat. Easy to book. We had magical afternoon. I strongly recommend this hotel to your list of places to visit.

Stayed for a week in a corner suite. Visiting our daughter who live in London, this was the perfect home base! Suite had everything we needed. Twice a day housekeeping was perfect. Soaking tub with bath salts and apre super soft robe is an excellent respite! Lobby was great, perfect spot for a coffee, drink, or game of pool. Berner's Tavern was superb. Service all throughout SPECTACULAR. Stay here - you won't regret it!
