Royal National Hotel

This is my fourth time staying at the Royal National Hotel, and I've recommended it to friends multiple times. I've always been very satisfied with the service and facilities. Previously, my rooms always faced the enclosed inner courtyard, which I loved. However, this time, my room window faced Bedford Way. While it was nice to watch the street, the noise was incredibly loud. The motorcycles and fire engine sirens on London's streets can be quite unbearable for guests sensitive to noise. So, I'd suggest mentioning your preference for a quieter room when booking. Otherwise, everything else was good, and I would recommend it.

Many people said the rooms weren't good enough, but I found the triple room to be quite spacious. The carpet was a bit lacking, but overall cleanliness was acceptable. As for the police sirens in the middle of the night, that's just a characteristic of the UK! Our triple room, during the National Day holiday, cost 1500 with breakfast. Given its location, that's perfectly fine. It's walking distance to the British Museum and King's Cross Station. Overall, I'm satisfied.

The room was really spacious, and the hotel itself has so many rooms it's like a maze, making it a bit hard to find your way around. Everything else was perfect. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere.

The north building is run-down, and the bedding and pillows all smell of stale sweat. The south building is slightly newer, but the noise is truly unbearable; I slept to the sound of sirens all night. Choose carefully!

The location is convenient, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The staff are polite. The room was clean but felt a bit dated. It only had basic amenities like towels, cups, and a kettle. Note that there were no slippers or toothbrushes. My room was on a lower floor, and when I opened the curtains, I saw an air conditioning unit in a lightwell. For less than £90 in central London, though expensive, it's a reasonable price. I wouldn't consider it if it were over £90.

The bed was incredibly narrow, and it moved with just a slight touch because the wheels underneath weren't fixed. I even fell once. Staying in a hotel like this for over 2,000 yuan is really frustrating. The towels were also extremely dirty. Definitely avoid this place.

The Royal National Hotel is large with many rooms, but the rooms themselves aren't big. The towels looked a bit yellowish. The bed was quite comfortable to sleep in. For the price, it offers good value for money. There's a 24-hour Tesco nearby, and their £3.85 meal deal is highly recommended for breakfast. There are also many breakfast spots in the vicinity.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and check-in and check-out were quick. Although the room facilities were a bit old, they were still quite clean. Free luggage storage is a nice bonus. There was a bit of a queue during check-out time as it was busy.

The service was just okay, not particularly warm. Room cleaning was a bit messy, some clothes and even toothbrushes were misplaced. Breakfast was the same every single day! Every day!! Just those few options. The location was decent, close to the station and bike rentals.
