Clean, but very basic. Cheap, what I expected for the price.

I stayed with my wife during my stay in London on a trip to Europe. It is located within a 5-minute walk from either Russell Square or King's Cross subway stations, making it very accessible. There was no reception in the hotel, so when I pressed the door chime at check-in and waited for a while, the hotel came. When checking out, all you have to do is put the key in the front door, but there was no manager, so I couldn't ask you to keep your baggage. The bathroom and toilet are shared and there is no hair dryer. It was inconvenient that there was no dryer because the chilly days continued.

My own negligence, I didn't read the reviews and booked 3 nights. Negotiation to cancel the subscription was unsuccessful, and I would rather deduct 3 days of fees, or insist on changing hotels. Too bad too bad too bad...

Alkatraz would be a nicer stay!! This is not a hotel. We booked through *********** and we knew it was cheap and cheerful but oh my goodness…. I’ve never stayed anywhere as bad!!! The rooms are filthy, in-fact the entire place is filthy! There is dust everywhere, the carpets are totally threadbare and the place stinks of *******, which when I complained about I was told it was a guest but it was blatantly the grotty owner who walks around in manly flip flops and just grunts at you as he stunk of it and his eyes were so bloodshot, he was walking round like a zombie! You can’t use the kettle due to the timescale, not that I was even going to attempt to drink out of the cups!! Our net curtain was black and the springs could be felt through the mattresses on the beds! Its vile

Come to London for weekend away , hotel was very outdated not clean and the bed was bad and you could feel the springs in your back. This hotel needs a big refurbishment and a good clean and new beds.

Manager must be the rudest I've ever encountered. No friendly reception. Makes Basil Fawlty look good. Walked out in manky flipflops and was rude to my husband. Doesn't say anything nice like 'have a nice stay' - rudely told us to drop the keys off in the box the following morning like we were lodgers he didn't want! Room small and grotty. Bathroom nicer. Manager got locked outside and was banging to be let in. I opened the door and he was moaning about the people upstairs in another language. This man should not be running a hotel.

Bed bugs!!!! Stayed here for one night ( I say stayed,I mean suffered) worst hotel ever. we have stayed in £5 a night hotels in India that would put this place to shame! Top floor room with no bathroom but a sink that was not fit for anything no water. the place stank of smoke and the hallways also threadbare carpets Dust was thick on the kettle goes to show nobody could use it due to no water. I woke up to being bitten all over with bed bugs Please believe me when I say do not stay here it is utterly terrible!!!

This is easily the worst hotel that I have had the misfortune to use. The place was dirty. The room was minute. The shared bathroom disgusting with freshly shaven ***** hair on the toilet seat and floor. Most worryingly was that the room had a burnt out plug socket!

booked for saturday and sunday nights, so we could go to a daytime hardhouse event. originally booked a triple room but that was changed to a single room and a twin room the day before arrival as the bathrooms are being renovated and the triple room was being used as building storeage during the work. the shared bathroom we had access to was in clean and good condition. our rooms needed a full clean, dusty. we noticed tape covering ceiling to floor crack at the window, jubilee clips holding the bedframe together, a wonky shelf and holes in the wall where it was fixed on, broken lampshade of the lamp, broken electric wall sockets, broken wheels on an oil filled radiator, vanity tube light not working, dust on or in everything, no coffee sachets, just 2 teabags, the room door locks were just about ok. wouldnt take much to push the door through. the beds were comfy but the frames were loud and squeaky. the room was at the back so no traffic noise from the roads. the man who greeted us was friendly and nice. for £68 each, 2 nights, 3 people we found the wonkyness and brokeness hilarious,we knew the reviews were bad and we still booked it. so we rate it 5 out of 5 for being a crap hotel but would deffo book again if going clubbing and needing a place to sleep. recomended for those folk who are grateful for the things we have in our privilaged lives. improvements needed are regular deep cleans-including the plants, better beds, new carpets or flooring, remove or fix the broken items, improve the door locks, ensure tea, coffee, and refreshment caddys are clean and topped up.

This was an interesting experience... To be fair we just needed somewhere to lay our head ready for an early train journey in the morning so wasnt expecting alot but like something from a comedy sketch it didnt even meet the low expectations we already had. There are several rooms on each floor all of which share a bathroom and toilet. There are public toilets cleaner than the room we stayed in. Our double room consisted of 2 single metal creaky beds one of which was held together with jubilee clips. The walls had been poorly patched up and grime and dirty around the ceiling and window. The spare pillow was yellow and there were what looked like blood stains on one of the bed sheets. Walls are paper thin and you can everyone and everything throughout the creaky floored building. Would i stay here again? No and nor would I recommend anyone else to stay here either.
