Good location, close to the underground. Early building works woke us up however we had everything that was needed.

The location is quiet yet prosperous, with restaurants and supermarkets only 10 minutes away.

Everything else was good, but the gap under the door was a little too big. If you are sensitive to soundproofing, it would be best to avoid it. Other than that, everything was great. There was a kitchen and it was perfect.

The location of the hotel is very good, but there is a problem with the logo of the supplier and the hotel. It is not marked that the hotel has a basement. It is recommended that you do not book the cheapest room type. Very average experience!

Spent 3 nights in this hotel located very close to Paddington station, so its location is indeed great and quite. Hotel itself is clean, room was spacey (we had a tripple bed room) and eqquiped with everything you need for your comfy stay (incl. a bulit in kitchenette). Staff was very polite and helpful (as we arrived at 1.30 AM and on our last day in London we were given opportunity to leave our luggage in the hotel and grab it prior to our departure to the airport in the evening). To sum up… we had a very nice stay in the Cleveland during our London trip.

We stayed at the Cleveland Hotel for 3 nights in May 2024, and loved it! Nice room with a kitchenette, stained glass windows, and comfy bed. Great location. It was so nice to be close to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens, Bayswater Station and Paddington Station. Martin was super nice and we felt well cared for. We will definitely stay there next time we go to London.

A superb hotel in the heart of London! Great quality of service and I particularly loved the cleanliness of the room and how all tea/coffee and toileteries were replenished. Thank you to the staff at the reception and the GM for a perfect stay.

Very average place. The location is good (central and next to Hyde Park). The rooms are basic and drab. Bathroom is extremely small. Very expensive for what it is. That’s not exclusive to this hotel though. The worst aspect however is that it is increasingly noisy from the movement of other guests. That’s not their fault necessarily (some are inconsiderate but most are just walking). Doors are clattering at all hours. Floorboards are creaking and noisy - it is all wooden flooring so you hear every movement.

In a quiet residential area near Bayswater. Plain and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was well equipped. Bed was comfortable. No noise at night. No breakfast. Plenty of restaurants just a few minutes walk away.

We were obliged to find a hotel in London because of strikes on the railways. There was not much choice. As it turned out, the Cleveland Hotel more than fitted the bill, after a long day of travel to arrive in London in the early evening. It's a very quiet location, well-placed for the Underground or for hailing a cab. It is simply furnished but our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a really excellent shower! As a very simple 'room only' base for anyone wishing to explore central London, this would be a good option.

Super friendly staff and great location. We stayed in a basement room which was comfy, clean and had everything you need. It is rated 4 stars but it is not like staying in a 4 star hotel. Woke at 7am as v little soundproofing - I was planning a lie in. Paid £161 for the bed for the night.

We had a poor experience at the Cleveland. The room we had was cold and draughty, with a cracked pane and venetian blinds that did not work properly. There was only an extra thin blanket in the wardrobe that had a smell so we asked for an extra duvet. The person on reception refused to give us one until the following day, so we had a cold night. We were on told on arrival that we could ask for extra towels, toiletries etc as the room was not cleaned every day. The reality was we were made to feel like a nuisance when asking for anything extra by the same member of staff.

The positives: This room was pretty cheap on the night I needed it, and handy for Paddington. Cleanliness was OK. It was nice and quiet, and I got a good night’s sleep. It was useful to have a microwave and fridge in the room The not so good: I was on the top floor. The stairs were quite steep and narrow so could be tricky if you had heavy bags and/or mobility issues. The decor in the room was a little tired (but fine). When I arrived in my room the door was ajar - it seemed like it had deliberately been propped open. That felt a little odd to me and didn’t seem great in terms of security
