Chester Hotel Reviews

Initially, I was a little skeptical of this hotel after reading the reviews. However, after coming and seeing it for myself, it wasn't as bad as I thought. It is in the best location for tourists. The main places for sightseeing are very close therefore easily accessible. There's an underground and coach station nearby, quite a few eateries too and some shops. Location: 10/10. The hotel itself. They provided shower gels and towels but some of the towels were stained. The shower door didn't close as it wouldn't move. It is also very squished. Not the biggest issue but the bed did not get made after I had spent the night. Also, there was quite a pungent, musty smell in the room. The fridge wasn't stocked up which was good for us as we bought a few sandwiches and drinks. Hotel: 1/10. Also, there is no free parking and you can't park outside unless you have a permit. I think it is free parking after 6pm but you would have to move your car by a certain time. 0/10 In conclusion, it is the best location if you're only stopping for a few nights. I enjoyed it as I wasn't in the hotel for long, just for getting ready and sleeping. Because I was out for most of the day, it didn't really affect me. If I were to come back to London, I would book this hotel again for the location.

The hotel is located in a good area near shopping and restaurants. The hotel looks lovely from the outside and inside it's very cozy. The service is great just don't forget to bring your own amenities. In the shared bathroom you do not get anything so be aware. If you get the most cost effective room, there's no windows and the bathroom will be far, downstairs so possibly not friendly for the disabled. Walking distance from metro and the Victoria Station.

Lovely quaint hotel,rooms were cosy beds were comfy and there was a fridge and fan in the room. Couldn’t ask for mor other than my booking said check in at 2 but when we got there the receptionist said 3 so had to wait around a bit.

Good hotel on a budget, and a very good location. Would recommend for a stay.

The hotel location is good , 10 mins walk to the Victoria train station. The room is extremely small and with no air conditioning, it is good just for a quick stay and overnight sleep.

Good but Small room and narrow space

The basement room is enclosed, the noise of dripping water made it impossible to sleep, I asked to check out, but they refused for various reasons. Try to avoid scams.

The room is small but well-equipped. It is very close to Victoria station, 8 minutes walk. I hope the hotel will publish the size of the room, so that guests will not feel that the gap between the picture and the reality is too big.

The room is very small...you can't open your suitcase, and there is no elevator!!!!!! The hallways are very narrow, so it's hard to carry luggage... The only drawback is that there's no elevator... The facilities are a bit old, so the walls... haha.

The single room is probably in the basement. I am a girl, 170cm tall. Sleeping on this bed made me feel the feeling of standing tall for the first time. It is very humid. The quilt is wet without heating (even I feel uncomfortable as a southerner). It is a bit stuffy when it is turned on, so I turned on the fan, but it was too noisy. Don't buy sandwiches or anything when you live in the basement. I bought some and put them on the bedside as breakfast. The next morning, I found that the bedside was full of ants, and even cute little spiders crawled before going to bed. The bathroom... meets your imagination of an ordinary family in the Middle Ages. It is also underground, so it is quite cold. I don't dare to take a shower... The sound insulation is outrageous. The snoring next door seems to be next to me. The service is very good and the staff attitude is very good. Do traditional British families live like this... It's so crowded... I feel like I am Harry Potter. Come to travel, come to travel, stay somewhere good, stay with your children... Forget about staying with your children (I stay with my children)

The B&B hotel is very average. I booked a double room, but it was nothing like the picture. The room was very small. There was only about 30 centimeters of space next to the bed. There was no room to put the suitcase. You had to step over the suitcase. The stairs and the "corridor" at the door are only 50 to 60 centimeters wide. When I open the door, there is a pile of linen piled at the door of the next room, which almost blocks my door. You have to jump over. Carrying a suitcase upstairs is like climbing the "Thousand-foot Building" of Mount Huashan. It is not easy. The room hygiene is average. The small lobby on the first floor of the hotel was cluttered with luggage stored by guests. They came in and out two or three times. There were always people eating lunch boxes on the shabby sofas, like the boss and his friends. All in all, it’s a small, messy, and crowded place.

Room on the third floor with shared bathroom in the least one. Check-in is done after 3, and not 2. Unfriendly staff.
