If you want to save to your money/nerves/time and even health, stay away of this property. This is not even a hotel, and of course not a 4-star hotel. Disgusting experience with spots and marks and broken water taps. Hotel service wasn’t helpful and refused to give money back when I decided not to risk staying there. The other room that I asked to have a look at was in the same condition. Very disappointing.

We stayed in the basement and we tried opening the fan provided in the room. I turned on the fan and dust were coming out from the fan. Also, as we are preparing to check out I have sprayed from my after shave (Aqua de gio) and notice that the smell is different. I dont know how they manage to change but somehow the smell is different and looks like they change it with water. This is so disappointing. I should've read the reviews first before booking into this hotel.

Please do not come back to this hotel Please do not come back to this hotel This is disgusting We booked the executive queen room for the last two weeks and then checked in the same day and then gave us a dirty little room in the basement and then went to the front desk and asked for the room that we had booked and the front desk replaced us with a room that had not been cleaned When we found the front desk again, the manager's service attitude was very poor. He said that it was impossible to book our executive room at this price, so we chose one of these two rooms. We complained to "Trip app" immediately when the customer service staff of Trip app called the hotel to check The manager of the hotel was like they lied about giving us the executive suite but it was us who asked for a higher class room that made me feel sick. Fortunately, the Trip app paid for the incident and although it cost us two hours, It's just that the hotel manager has no integrity, no manners and even insults us, which makes me very disappointed in this hotel, especially the manager's P.U.S.S.Y FACE. Please remember, please don't book!!

Good value for money, nicely located near multiple tubes, and great run in the morning in nearby Kensington Gardens !

It’s actually be impressive, the fact that , there are some suites. Which are literally amazing

The heat in the room was unbearable and the mobile air conditioner didn't help. The breakfast buffet needs improvement.

Good room

The room size is OK for this price. It's a century-old house. The location is good. It's not too far from the park. It's OK.

Ok, let’s start with the good things. Perfect location (close to two underground stations) and when you walk in, although a little gloomy, they’ve spent money on a nice lounge. From the reviews, they do seem to have done some of the rooms up. However…the first thing they did was hand us a skeleton key for the basement room, then had us sign a waver saying that if we lost the single key, they would charge us £200 to replace the entire lock. Upon reaching the room, we were appalled. In the furthest corner of the basement, the door rattles loudly any time any other door is opened. Loud, cackling staff members hang out down there so it’s noisy. We had to climb over laundry sacks that were piled up in the corridors. The room itself was gloomy and only one of the bulbs in the light worked. The light above the bed didn’t work and the bathroom light had a bulb out too. We read an HILARIOUS part in the filthy, stuck together pages of the booklet in the toom - a warning that we would be charged for any damages to fixtures and fittings, and an instruction that no food was to be eaten in the room due to the ‘luxurious fabrics’! (You’ll see why that’s funny when you see the photos). The bathroom was filthy, every single surface was dirty and the room was entirely in disrepair. Mysterious stains all over the walls, brown liquid running down one, filth and cobwebs in the corners, missing drawer handles and damage on every piece of furniture. Given the threat of being charged for ‘damage’, I took many photos to protect ourselves. The bed was comfortable enough but it was two singles pushed together, the pillows were covered in sweat stains and the bedding wasn’t particularly clean. Plug point had a huge hole around it, no plug for the sink, bedside lamps wobbly & almost falling apart, mismatched floor covering…quite honestly we found it unwelcoming, dismal, absolutely rotten in terms of cleanliness and, frankly, charging what they do and calling it 4 star is LAUGHABLE. Dated, dreary, inefficient and unprofessional housekeepers, I’d only stay here if they can guarantee you one of the updated rooms, because the basement room we had was a 1 star B&B level at best. Terrible. We’d come down to treat ourselves to a night in town and the only low point was the disgusting room. No expense spent - they don’t even supply teaspoons. Oh, one more thing; if a fire broke out, we’d be doomed. No way of getting out of the windows, as they’re too small and it’s only a 12x6 little pane that opens, and you’d have to leave the room and make your way through the basement to a fire exit somewhere. If a fire broke out anywhere from the room itself to the lift, it’d cost lives. I’m not sure it’s even legal or compliant with regulations.

I flew in from AUS and booked here for three nights to enjoy London while getting over my jetlag. I stayed on the second floor overlooking the street. Great room though was a double. Very clean and a nice shower. A big thick curtain which kept out street noise and the sunshine. No air conditioning but the fan worked OK, but it was not too hot. My expectations were not high, but I really enjoyed my stay, a nice pub a couple of doors up and a bike station across the street. Very close to shops and Hyde park. The breakfast buffet was OK but missing fresh fruit and a bit basic, but good enough to enjoy. Old London houses are a bit cranky same with this hotel. I will stay again but not in a heatwave. All the same really quite good.

The worst place. Don’t stay here. Four stars is a lie. Hot, outdated rooms. Staff don’t care. No shower door so water all over the bathroom. It’s terrible. Don’t do it. It is at least 90 degrees F in our room. You wouldn’t be allowed to have dogs in a room this hot.

We saw some reviews about the hotel we were not sure if we were going book the hotel. I am glad we did . Staff was very helpful always ready to help you. The hotel is situated in good location, plenty of dining options . Note for the owner- Invest on ice machine and update you tv package. We will definitely come back
