The hotel has potential, but in its current state, it is very lacking. Let’s start with the good. It was clean, the room we were in was fairly recently renovated, it was in an upscale neighborhood. There was free wifi in the lobby.
The bad. The hotel is being renovated, so there were messy areas and construction noises. There was not a functioning bar and restaurant. There was no phone in the room so you had to go down to front desk with any requests. The room was plain with no decorations and bare walls and the furniture was a bit dated and plain as well. Room cleaning is only done every 4th day, so if your stay is shorter, you don’t get your room cleaned or towels changed. Room WiFi is £7 a day, which I feel with the lack of other amenities and the price they charge they should be offering free wifi as a concession, like many of the budget hotels do. The cable TV was terrible with many channels that froze up. The hotel had a small turn style front door that was difficult getting through with luggage. They had no one to help with luggage either. Overall, I cannot recommend this and would not stay here again. They claim to be a luxury hotel but in reality they are far from it.
